Has anyone received call with 650?

Can the interview date be deferred under any circumstances..??

Hello Seniors

I was thinking to apply in R2 but low GMAT score is bothering me.

Kindly review below given details & suggest accordingly.

GMAT -580 (Gave with just one month preparation,Was not devoted in study's due to work pressure)

Sector - Telecom

BE (E&C) - 65%

IIMA PGPX application doesn't ask for SOP or recommendation letters. Will I have to submit those post payment?

Could anyone please suggest a consultant/paid-services best suitable for reviewing SOP (iimb-epgp) and essays for (iima-pgpx). Looking for someone who has, in past, guided people for pgpx and epgp or who knows these programs well and based out of Bangalore. Please refer.

Delhi's date with PGPX starts day after. I am in for 6th, 1345. Anyone else scheduled for 6th at ITC Maurya?

Acceptance rate post interview last year was 38%. For females, it was a big 55%!

Dear All, My interview experience very thrilling and inspiring. All the candidates were provided with a room as waiting area, which eventually became a space for collaboration. The current PGPX students spent quality time and engaged with the interviewees to answer various generic as well as personal questions. Started with few casual questions and to make me feel comfortable. Got an extempore topic and conversation lasted for for approx. 4 minutes. The questions during the interview touched variety of subject including evolution of technology, Indian and international market competition, progression in Indian economy, personal contribution in the work experience, etc. Best part was that the panel members offered me pauses of approx. 30 seconds to frame my answer for few questions. I was able to comfortably answer most of the questions and present my view. However, for few questions I candidly surrendered than guessing the answer. The interview was done in approx. 25 minutes.

So got done with the interview today.

My interview was a 2 faculty member panel. But it may vary. My interview started with an extempore topic. The panel then  questioned me thoroughly on the answers i shared. They then talked about specific instances from my past experience mentioned in the resume. I would suggest everyone to be particularly careful of the resume. At times, the panel even diverted out of what was mentioned on the resume at length. To be honest, the questions were indeed grilling and at times, i found them irrelevant. Overall, i had few tough experiences! But this is just what my experience was, so take this with a pinch of salt! People before have shared better experiences too! In all fairness, i may miss the the bus, but my best wishes to all who are going for an interview! Do well!

P.S. - Have been advised not to discuss or mention specific details about the content of the interview, therefore i am not sharing specific questions that were asked. My apologies. If there is anything else anyone needs help in, can PM me. Would be happy to help, as much as i can.

Through with my interview. Got stuck in early morning traffic from Gurgaon to Delhi and reached late by an hour. But thankfully that did not disrupt the interview schedule.

It was a two member panel. One of the persons asked me the questions and the other was observing me thoroughly. The questions asked were regarding my profile and were general in the beginning but got specific and at most time I did not have the exact knowledge or information and I had to surrender.

I think the best way to go ahead with the interview is just to be yourself and not  worry too much. Of all the questions that I had prepared for interview, not even a single was asked, so I think you guys need not bother about preparing answers.

All the best guys!

Cheers!

Hi Puys,

Got done with my interview today. Its cordial and specific to your industry, Nothing stressful. They might also give scenarios where in you have to come up with a business plan impromptu. They will dig in your answers and logic. Stay strong and have a backing for your answers. Rest learn about their programme and be clear about why you wish to pursue the program. All the best!

Hi,

The question is regarding International Exposure in the application.

If one has always been in India but worked with many international customers, have daily/weekly calls with multi-cultural people, traveled to different countries, though for short business visits customers or other offices, then how to show this international exposure in the application? If you don't consider this as international exposure, then there will be nil international experience vs actually worked with international teams regularly for long time. Please suggest.

Folks, anyone have updates with interview experiences? Please share it here. We would love to hear more about how it went and how the panel interacted with you. Many thanks.

Any guidance for resume (the ideal resume to be submitted for PGPX)?

Should it be strictly one page resume with not too much technical details?

A technical job resume for a 10 yr exp person working hard core technical product development would be full of technical details and may run upto 4 pages.

Hi, the interview was more on professional experience and the panel asked basic definitions of few industry terms. At times they caught me off guard by asking out of context questions. 2 questions were asked on economy. Overall ask fine.
