Wht you say makes sense Gurjot, but,well, i kinda expected the indore WL to move a bit like MDI, and so seeing no movement was a bit of a shock... :)...btw, i hope u recognize me, i'd given you a call the other day! :)....You're Rahul Chidgopkar's friend, if i'm not wrong? šŸ˜ƒ

I know that the movement of all the IIM's are independent.
But it makes no sense that IIM A has a WL movement of 45 and at the same time Indore comes up with no movement at all!!!!

So all IIM hopes for this year are down the drains as far as i am concerned.

IIM-A might have given just a few extra calls expecting that not many people would leave an IIM-A call while IIM-I perhaps over the years has realized too well that people will leave it for all sorts of colleges (IIMs, FMSs and blah). So they give a large number of extra calls (confirmed ones that is) since a lot of W/L movements would only add to their work later on.

Hi buddy...this is probably because of the OBC seats. IIM A do not give that much a buffer calls..because of the obvious reasons...but this time may be the OBC seats are vacant.
They are vacant in other IIMs too..but they give buffer calls.

This is what i think.

By the way i also am waitlisted in Indore

I was selected in IIM Indore.....and had paid the fees.......

But now my IIM Bangalore waitlist has been cleared...so i will be withdrawing my admission. Hope this gives some respite to the waitlisters.

I dont know how much waitlist is expected to move...but i gues some cancellations may happen now after first waitlist movement...

Thanks for the hopes buddy.
But i feel its better we are not optimistic about the waitlist movement.

If it does move then let it come as a pleasant surprise rather than waiting and then getting disappointed.

The next movement of waitlist will be notified on 6th of June.

Does anyone have any idea of how long will this waitlist process go on.

The waitlist movements last year happened till the very fag end. One person got a confirmation just 2 days before the session was to commence. A lot depends on the waitlist movements of other b-schools.

The waitlist goes to almost 300 this time.

there has been no movement in the general catagory yet.we will come to know of any movement on monday, 9th june 2008

Today is the 9th and still the website remains unchanged. I wonder when they will bother to update it, if at all!
