hi guys,
this is the official thread for any queries regarding the course and life @IEMR. As a student i find this a remarkable institution with really no parallels in the country. the institute itself is in a budding stage but the amount of insight and the directed nature of the course is a great advantage to all of us. the faculty we have is hugely experienced and i feel proud to say that out here we are not just being groomed to cram numbers but also acquiring skills that very few institutions give. feel free to have any queries and we would love to resolve any and all of your doubts.
i know its 2 early 2 comment on the exact nature of placements, but can u throw some light on the internship scenario??
i mean companies,packages offered,roles offered??
sure, so far as the internship scenario is concerned, work is under progress and let me assure you that some very promising people have been coming to give us the industry overview in these past 1.5 months. i would rather not comment on the specifics(m not sure about the ethics) but if u send me a pvt post i can tell you a lot more bout it.rest assured that we have had people from companies and places that would make anybodies eyes pop. internship offers as such are still about 6 months away and when they come they would do justice to the batch.just take one fact into consideration-about 80% of the batch has above 2 yrs of experience.
also, the jobs/internships can be safely assumed to remain relevant to the energy sector though in a variety of arenas, starting from plant operations and going upto project finance and banking. there are huge opportunities in IT which wants to cash in on the smart grids coming up all over the place.again there are consultancies which are into m&a; and similar activities.so that is where the jobs are..which is to say..about everywhere.

phew!!!after a scorcher of a term we are back for another one.the experience of the last term was simply awesome.the gruelling academic schedule actually adds to the charm of this niche college. between then and now, we have attended the inaugural Subir Raha memorial lecture at the SCOPE complex, chaired by padmashree awardee Shri B.K. Chaturvedi, member, planning commision of india. We had the great opportunity to meet a very excited group of industry representatives at the DIREC conference and had some very distinguished guests come to the campus to introduce us to the facets of industry.to give a check try this link
PG Program in Management - Institute of Energy Management and Research.
in the midst of this really busy schedule we also celebrated the freshers party for the first batch, onam, ganesh chaturthi and diwali. but the vision of the founding team is most exemplified by the excel training workshop that was held by PRISTINE. those who already are working in the financial sector would probably be exposed to the name, but for newcomers allow me to introduce you to the fact that in finance there is nothing more sought after than the excel skills a new recruit has. and whats more this workshop itself was very highly subsidized, and we hardly had to pay anything for it.
once again the enthusiasm of the faculty towards this college is very exciting. we have faculty who have this insti over more established names and it goes to show their commitment and passion towards this endeavour.
for all those who have queries, me and my batchmates would be glad to answer them.
cheers
ok, so this week we are going to have a leadership development program, the first phase of which was held in the 1st term...lets see hw it pans out.will gv a feedback once its done..m pretty excited bout it tho..
now that summers must be over can u throw some light on the avg stipend, profile..etc..etc
please give a clear idea of placement of IEMR.
hello IEMR students..
I am very interested for MBA energy management course.i haven't appeared for any exam yet like CAT/MAt etc, what is the last date of applying?
Also i came to know that IEMR is not recognized by AICTE/UGC etc. After taking admission if something goes wrong with college then?how valid will be the degree?please give a clear view ? 😐
The accrediation from AICTE & UGC is a must for a course .....coz investing 9 lacs and then landing with non-accrediated degree.... what is the future of a student if he doesn't get placed...!!!
