Hi, I have applied for the 2012 batch. i am currently working with Bank of Baroda and have previously worked with ICICI bank for 2 years. On the topic of people from non finance backgrounds working in banks, I have noticed this phenomenon everywhere. Most people are attracted to banks because in our country, the banking sector is the second largest employment provider after Govt. And also, the recession has prompted many people to look for opportunities in areas not in their forte. But its a sad scenario as though most of them earn good salaries, they end up being disappointed and frustrated. And let me tell you, Core Banking is a never ending thankless job. in banking operations you endup doing the same thing day in and day out for years together. Most people cant cope up with that kind of environment. Only the sales part is better in terms of pay and work. And not every one can sell. But nevertheless, people are driven by money and most people would rather give up their dreams and live with their frustrations because of the good paycheck at the end of the month. Hi I was trying to fill the form, i am having 4 years and 8 months work-ex, and still working with (British Petroleum), I have a query about the last date (asked in the form for work ex.), i left it blank because i have not left the job until now.

And i filled the last date as the date on which i applied, But am still working with my company.
exp: 2.9 months in IT industry
Acads: Above 90 From Xth standard
Will I be shortlisted ??

No they are not going to short list you. Last time i was not shortlisted. My experience was also the same as yours. It happened only once in the April batch that they selected a candidate with less than 3 years and that too because he didnt mentioned his details correctly in the application. But ultimately he was shown door in the interview.
I spoked to ICICI HR after rejection of my application. They told me till date on which you are applying you should have completed 3 years. Pls try and understand its the eligibility criteria. If you dont fall into it you are not eligible. Its as simple as dat.
So better luck next time. Coz even if you will be through written you would be shown doors in interview. So chill out.

Same case with me... my total experience since mar 09 (first time i became professional from student) till today is 2 yrs 9 mnths 12 days... i applied fr this program. stil waiting for their response.. lets see wat wil they say.. finger crossed..

May b they are waiting fr last date i.e. 31st dec 2011 to pass first..then they wil short list the eligible candidates, and then short listed people wil get mail/call frm icici to inform Test dates......!! So i am expecting procedure of mails/calls wil start by first or second week of jan 2012...

No dude. Its professional work experience. Internship and Article ship are not counted as work ex. And since you have appeared for CA Final Exam and you are yet to be a CA this programme is not for you.

hi.. myself swati , have work ex of 3.5 + yrs in power sector ( Mechanical background) , X, XII 88% , b tech 69.8% from HBTI Kanpur , I wanted to know more of this program :
1. Manager-II pay scale the offer ( the query is imp from d point of view that i am currently earning 8L + incentives )
2. PGDM from Neemrana university , is it AICTE approved , in case i quit icici will it still be considered an mba of good repute in free market.
