Puyz, in previous posts(first batch) some 1 has mentioned, our certificates wil remain in possession of ICICI till 60 months (5 yrs). this is because, loan amnt will take extra 2 yrs to finish it off... or else you wil have option to pay the remaining amount with some interest rate as soon as completion of 3 yrs bond period...

Exec MBA is good only if you are doing from a reputed college or currently you are working as manager (In case of part time) .

Hi,here comes my GD-PI Experience.
Venue: Chandivali, Mumbai
Time: 04/02, 8.30
GD went good. Was given the topic of ABC Shipbreakers Ltd. Didnt chip in much as i was too tired of the overnight journey(had been travelling from Ahmedabad). Also it was the same topic i was given last time when i had appeared for the Jan batch intake. However the GD was turning into a fish market,no body listened to nobody and twice or thrice i tried to pacify all and chaneelize everything in the right direction. The GD panel was completely negative in reaction, but still selected 6, including me. A girl from the ICICI bank was not selected though she gave a lot of numerical data regarding NPA, interest etc.That day according to my count, out of a strength of 100, 48 were only selected.
PI panel consisted of the same group.Only 2 persons asked questions while the other 2 were observing me.
Q1: what do u know about ICICI and NIIT program.
Me: I shifted frm the track and told them how passionate i am about this program, how i appeared for the interview last yr and was not selected, applied for the August batch also but cudnt appear for the test blah blah(actually i was not too much versed with the recent info of the bank and so wanted to shift the track)
Q2:u didnt get ur question, we wnt to know what do knw about this program.
Me: Started telling everything
Q3: Understanding that i knew a lot about it they stopped me midway and asked me why this program.
Me: Told them, they looked convinced
Q4: why MBA after 4.5 yrs in manufacturing sector
Me: Told, looked convinced
Q5: which specialisation do u want to take
Me: Told
Q6: Why
Me: Told and they were convinced
Q8: Things related to risk in my job, how do i mitigate them, relating the same things to a bank was given to solve a problem
Me: Answered, no backfiring occured, they looked ok
Q7: Family background, some more details about the family, my background, whether i hv anybody in my blood relation working with ICICI, whether i am ready to relocate etc.
Then i was asked to leave. Here comes the twist. I was not asked any question ,but i asked them whether they would allow me to tell something and then i told them that the selection standard is declining as they are repeating the same caselets time and again.:shock:Told them that some people already come prepared for this GD beforehand, so they should change the caselet to get better talent. Also told them that i have got the same case study as i got last time and it had somehw dampened my competitive spirit.They looked fine with my suggestion and asked a few more questions regarding this.Asked me the name of websites where the cases can be found, but thn im too pagal to tell them the name
. Dnt know whether it was right or wrong, but i really wanted to highlight this point to them.
Much against my expectation, overall it was a cool i/v lasting for 20-22 mins. But then again the persons with whom i interacted, none of them faced anything stressed i/v thing.
My previous i/v in Jan, 2011 was more of a stress i/v and i knew from the beginning tht i wud b d last person to get selected.
Even after appearing in this process, for 2 times, i dnt knw on what basis they do final selection. And yes, asking about blood relations working in ICICI, willing to relocate etc doesnt strengthen ones chances of selection. 4-5 people with whom i interacted that day, were asked this question in i/v.
My chances of selection already come down from the beginning :banghead:as i belong to Manufacturing and Projects, and am like a rare fish in the pool of IT people. And this time after the dismal performance in CAT, i am really prepared for anything.

, and i would say from my knowledge that those who get selected plz dnt look back and grab the offer, its really really good.

Just loggined to share something... I was having a big worry in my mind whether ICICI is strict about exact 3yrs minimum experience eligibility criteria...??
So for all those puys who have went thru slection procedure for batch April 2012, and many future Puys willing to join this program, i recently did research and found "IF YOU ARE FALLING SHORT BEHIND 2-3 MONTHS IN COMPLETING 3YRS MIN EX, GO AHEAD, THERE IS STILL CHANCES FOR YOUR SELECTION. MUCH DEPENDS ON HOW YOU PERFORM IN BMAT, GD AND PI :cheers:"

PS: My work ex is 2 yrs 11 months at present. Though they asked me in my PI that ur total ex = 2yrs 11 mnths, i said yes. before giving me chance to say anything, they moved to next question. I am positive for my result, as i did fairly well in PI.. finger crossed..lets c. wil keep you updated.
any idea on the avg age /avg work ex of ppl in ICICI NIIT Program for earlier batches.???

It is strange...without selection how can they asked for relocation..may be list has finalized..they just confirming with selected candidates.:banghead:

Please post ur location also, so dat we can predict the pattern if any.
I think we will get results earlier than before.
In chennai , one guy asked when result will come ? they said in weeks time. So might be true.
