Had my GD-PI today.... GD was okayish... and made only 1 point which no one touched upon.
Started the GD and moderately chipped in between...
PI was horrible.
I was the second last or third last person to be interviewed at Hyd.
I wasnt sure whether the panel was atleast bothered to conduct the interview...based on the way the intw went about...
few q's
1) Quickly and very shortly introduce urself...
2) Then they asked me about my hobbies and topics on which i blog (had mentioned blogging as hobby)..
3) Then immediately, they asked about my work...explained..
4) Next was why MBA and why risk mgmnt? answered it well ... asked about my XAT score and call details...told
5) a hypothetical question...what if i am retrofit to IT? paused for 10-15 seconds..replied im not sure and need some time to decide
Now fun started.... lights went off... room was completely dark. Panelists started grilling me in the dark..why not IT and what do I know about banking..? even after answering the panel gave their understandings and came back to the question..why banking... somehow i blurted out that i am inspired by CEO's and CFo's of my clients who were finance people... then he lectured about HR and IT people also becoming CEO's and CFO's..and he himslef generalised i was driven by ambition. He made it worse by saying i didnt have any idea on what is the expectaion from mba-banking... i didnt reply back... and The room was still dark.
Out of the blue... "What are your passions?"...told them about cricket and cooking... then the previous panel member again shooted say something about icici and NIIT... mentioned few things which i knew.... suddenly the lights came on... and they asked me if i wanted to ask them something...
Knowing how bad the intw went... i thought why not play for sometime and started questioning back....
1) How credible is the program...and how does it fare when compared with Tier-1 mba colgs?
2) Why arent students allowed to pursue electives of their choice apart from regular courses mentioned on the website..?
3) Last... i made a comment "This mba is as good as training given to an icici employee rather than an MBA... " Thank you sir and left.
I was completely p*****d off the way panel treated the interview.... i mean its ridiculous to conduct one when panel is least interested and adding to that conduting intw in a room which was so dark that no one could see who was in the room... bad bad exp.
ATB to everyone.... somewhere i heard feb24-45 the results may come...not sure abt the credibility of the news...

No one is selected.. its data not captured by icici... this is basic data that they would have missed to collect during intw and initial application process.....
unless the pdf is uploaded in website...no one is in..no one is out.
I didnt query abt results with the lady... she hardly gave any time for cross questions...

Cud be...but the ultimate motive wud still be the same..to narrow the criteria..if it was immaterial, they wudnt hav asked, rite? I dnt think they will upload pdf cos they dint do it last time in Oct..expect personal calls/e-mails...

Waiting is the only option left with us. Till we get any calls/mails in bulk we can't reach a conclusion. Hope we get the results by 20/21st. Last time it was around 3/4th Mar i think..

me too...pune , 3rd feb...3rd group... hoping for the best... gd was not so gr8.pi was good . puzzled,on what basis they are selecting...
Guys, going by last year trends those who are receiving a call from ICICI HR due to any reason can surely count themselves in. So enjoy and start packing bags

P.S: Though i expected, but i have not received any call.So im already considering myself out of this race. Never mind, some better things must be waiting for me.
