It can be incorporated in a bond..in many companies if ur working in a higher or a very imp portfolio, then they hv a bond tht u need to "cool off" before joining any other company in a similar role....and if ur signing this bond, then u cannot challenge this, neither in a court too...so if this is a clause u hv to abide
Puys,

ICICI is starting a new program for inducting people at Manager level roles.

Hi Ayush,

I know this but for cool off period, they ll be given very big amount. If not then u can disagree. In this case, we are not given anything so no clause as such will come into picture.

20th or 21st feb going by the past trends

i just spoke to one of my bro-in-laws who works as a branch manager in cuddapah district, andhra pradesh and he told me that this is a very wonderful course and a wonderful opportunity...lucky for all those who get selected..

hey guys..everyone is waiting fr result, and my wishes are with all of you. i am too positive abt my result, but hav left evrything on God.. my worry fr the time being is - notification period of my employer, if i got selected..its 3 mnths.. 😐 .. seems i wil not hav any option but to buy my notification period for 1 and half month atleast... sad fr me.. 😞

Hi All.. Had my GD/PI in kolkata on 4th FEB. GD topic was the same ABC shipping company one.I was the only person selected in my group among 10 people.Had to wait for about an hour for the PI.The panel of 4 were friendly with 2 ppl doing the majority of the talking.I was asked about my work experience and any achievement which I consider was significant.Since I am an IT professional,I was also asked a question as to If I were an IT consultant for ICICI, would I suggest a mainframe or a non-mainframe system for the bank. Was also asked some questions regarding the design of the system, as also a question regarding the current global IT scenarion and the opportunities/ threats for Indian IT companies.I thought things were going to end well but right towards the end, one of the two guys who was silent spoke up.He asked me abt why I wud like to leave IT and move to finance.Wat made me think that I will like banking.Wat amt of research had I done regarding ICICI and so on. I did tell him that finance excites me and that since Finance drives everything that we see around us, it will be an exciting world. Also spoke about how banks have to innovate in order to stay competitive. Not sure if I could convince them enough. They did tell me that banking could be very mundane at times and it goes beyond fancy glass cabins and all.It was very hard work, to which I said that every field required people to work hard.
Also asked whether any blood relatives of mine worked in ICICI and whether I would be ready to move anywhere if I got selected.
Had a good experience in the PI, as you rarely get grilled in PI's for IT companies. Keeping fingers crossed and hoping for the best... 😃

Bro , but for me, (IBM) , company has stopped buy out policy and now we must serve 3 Months notice period.

Hi All.. Had my GD/PI in kolkata on 4th FEB. GD topic was the same Cornell Company (Pop-Corn in Sitapur) one.The PI panel had 4 people where 1 was grilling with technical IT stuff as written in Resume while second was asking general questions on Y MBA and Y ICICI, what do you think of the GD that went by -- Remaining 2 were observants throughout. Was also asked some questions regarding how I would validate there system (Testing Bank forms and stuff), Advantages of SAP (was on my resume) etc as also a question regarding the current global IT scenarion and the opportunities/ threats for Indian IT companies. Questions like if IT industry is doing so good and you are faring well than Y this Y this :banghead: went by - It went on for 45 mins not sure if its because I was the first one for the day - Was able to convince them on most but also missed few straight forward ones :|

Ya might be ,

But sumwhere they asked indirectly-

Like for me they asked for family background again(3rd last question)

And told them that my sister is working in FCI , my mother is house wife, n my father is in family business. We are business family. So no point of asking this question about blood relatives.

Then relocation(second last)

Then they asked me whether I have any ques about NIIT university.

Dats all.

i guess puys who were asked abut relocation and blood relatives working at ICICI are definitely in... all the best in advance puys..

I think the questions they ask to you clearly indicates that they have selected you & u should book your tickets..

They look over all scores (Case study+GD+PI+Graduation Marks) , then they arrives at merit list..but good PI means better chances of selection. Finger crossed!!!
