Interview started at 2:20, 4 member panel..interview mostly in hindi

M1: father kya karte hain?

me: tyre ka business hai

M1: kaha (told)

M2: koi bhai behen?

me: 1 younger brother

m2: no sister

me: no sir

m1: bhai kya kar raha hai

me:graduate hai soch raha hai aage kya kare in short kuchh nai kar raha hai

m1(somewhat smiling): Amritsar kis liye famous haime: golden temple jallianwala bagh, wagha border n woollen clothes

m2: name a city capital of 2states

me:chandigarh

m2: wo kis cheez k liye famous hai

me: rock garden, sukhna lake n fr being 1st planned city of india setor wise bani hai

m3: waha pe 1 it park hai aap ko us ka naam pata hai

me: rajiv gandhi infotech park

m2: balance sheet kya hoti hai

as soon as i started speaking he said 1 line me batao I said it shows ur assets and liabilities on a particular date mostly 31st march of every year

m3: balance sheet kisi bhi date ko ban sakti hai ya nai (explained)

m4: aapne mba kiya hai kaha se ( told) m2: kaafi badiya jagah se kiya hai (my reaction:D)

m2: specialization kiya hai (told)

m3: achha ye bataiye where does patents n preliminary expenses come in balance sheet n under wat headings

me: amswered but somewhere inside i knew k i hav given wrong ans

m2: wat type of asset is goodwill (answered)

m3: contingent liability kaha aata hai balance sheet me (answered)

m1: apni hobbies bataiye (told)

m4: kabhi gaon me rahe ho?

me: 2 saal banaras me raha hun its no less dan an urban village

m4: laughing nai bhai wo shaher hi hai i mean proper gaon me

me: no sir

m4: fir rural me posting mili to jaoge n kaise rahoge

me: sir koi issue nai hai it will be a new experience n agar gaon jaane me problem hoti to ye form na bharta coz advt me clearly mention tha k pan india posting hogi which includes villages...

m3: score kitna hai

me: 87

m4: gud score n nw u may go

seems like a lengthy one but actually i was bombarded wid dese questions wid no time 2 think n it took me less than 10 minutes to go in n come out...by 2:30 i was standing outside the venue thinking k hua kya interview me wid an alpenliebe in my mouth given by panel

kisi se 5 no. ka ek question poocha tha kya ? mujhse ek bda alag sa question poocha bole k 95 ka to pooch liya 5 no. ka ek question rah gya ( any body was asked a question of 5 marks, i was asked to reply a unique question i don't know whether other were asked or not , my last question was asked by d panel they say only 1 question of 5 mark has not been asked we have asked u for 95 marks )


anybody guess what that question might be a very interesting question

1) Lien
2) Pledge
3) Hypothecation
4) Mortgage
Is lien a type of charge in loans?? I said that in interview......

Done with interview, the panelists were extremely friendly and encouraging.

Asked me about ecgc. what is it, its functions (as i have given it as my first preference)
Letter of Credit
Difference between import and export
Difference between savings and investment
What is the work of a bank
Are you ok with rural posting

One of the panelists told me and i quote "you are a very intelligent girl, you know most candidates will go for the commercial banks but you chose ecgc, there is good prospect in ecgc for candidates with your background and i want you to work there"...i found his words hard to digest 😲

anyway i dont think i'll make it to ecgc because my score is not a topper's score, but i hope i atleast become a PO rolleyes.

P.S. Someone in PG told me to read about letter of credit if i have given ecgc as my first pref. A BIG thanks to that someone 😃

Today i have given another interview for Jr Mgr in Odisha State cooperative bank 😃

In merit list my rank was 16th in all over state...
5 panel members{Chairman(IAS),MD, Chief manager,DGM,GM} embarrased
Interview room was like heaven....gosh its so beautiful...😃
then interview started...
questions like marketing and IT collaboration,how to convince loan takers,application of IT,what is the use of yours since we have specialist for IT field,goods and services etc etc etc....
The total interview was breathtaking....rolleyes😲
Lets Hope for the best 👍

Hello Friends as this time PO interviews started on 2nd Jan and will end on 12th Jan..so they went for around 11 days .. in PO2 for how many days were they held ? ( Just to get idea for number of shortlisted guys)

BOI SEC 62, NOIDA , PANEL - IV, 11th Jan - 8:30 am


I was first person to be interviewed at my panel in the morning. Entered at 9:20am

Questions

1) member 3 - Introduce yourself - took around 5 minutes explaining them in detail

2) member 3 - Why are'nt u focussing on completing ur CA - again took 3-5 min

3) member 3 - What are AS - replied, then he asked AS26 - replied

4) member 3 - AS18 - replied

5) member 3 - Contingent liability in Balance Sheet - replied them good with an example.

6) member 3 - Intangible Assets - replied very well again with examples , by this time speed of questions coming from his mouth has increased significantly.

7) member 3 - Whether P&l; A/C (Dr. balance) is Intangible Assets or not - Replied though they didnt seem satisfied.

8) member 3 - Whether Prelim Expenses is intangible Assets or not - Replied & he seemed to be satisfied.

9) member 4 - Currency of Pakistan , Nepal & Srilanka - Replied for except Srilanka.

10) member 4 - Quick ratio - Explained it very well

11) member 4 - International Trade - Replied

12) member 4 - SWIFT - Only thought that came in my mind was about the Car & then politely said "NO IDEA SIR"

13) member 4 - Latest Nationalised Bank - it Seems to be an easy question but its a tricky question . I replied BMB & he corrected me by saying nationalised bank is a bank which was previously private & was later nationalised & BMB is born as PSU - I was'nt convinced with this & was thinking over it.

14) Member 4 - BMB inaugrated in month ? - replied

15) Member 4 - BMB CMD - Replied

16) Member 4 - another Woman CMD of any PSU - I was so involved with that 13th question that i replied Chanda Kochhar & Sikha Sharma then he again asked me for woman CMD of "PSU" Bank - I said "Sorry Sir " then He asked CMD of SBI & then i replied him Arundhati Bhattacharya & he smiled.

17) Member 1 - Name any Female Dy Governor of RBI - Answered Usha Tharot.

Member 1 asked Member 2 - do u wanna ask something & he said NO .

Then Member 1 & Member 3 said Thank You .

I left around 9:40 am


Felt really Silly for Srilanka, forgetting SBI & for not having read anything about Swift even while preparing for PO.
