Scored 51 in VI category, what are the chances?
Hi Pals,
I am already working with a Accenture but the thing is i am really not happy with the job.. becuase of too much stress and no work life balance.. Plus the increments now a days in IT are not very good.. and moreover there is no job security.. the only advantage i feel being in IT is that here u can get an onsite opportunity even though now a days it has reduced.. I appeared for IBPS PO 3 and with god's grace i was able to clear the first stage of it... but i am still confused whether it will be a wise decision to switch from IT sector to Banking sector... Please provide ur comments:
reasons behind my decision:
1> Job security
2> I can opt for rajasthan as i am from rajasthan
3> Salary i fell after the revision will be around 35-40k per month in hand
4> Life- work balance is better as compared to IT
5> I might prepare for UPSC/RAS exams .. I feel being in bank will help to me save some time for its prep..

A serious advice to here-and-there-poll-creators . Make sure upper limit for an interval is one less than lower limit of next interval. For ex, the intervals should be 61-65 , 66-70 , 71-75 and NOT 60-65 , 65-70 , 70-75

toh mere kehna bus yahi hai chup chap bethe raho kuch assumption mat lagao filhaa be haapy with whatever you have got. be it 61 or 161.

So since PO fcuked me (69-gen), and so did RRB_PO (113).
Was just wondering should I care to fill any forms of rural banks ? If yes, then which ?

Last year in IBPS PO 2 out of some 7 lakh + candidates they chose around 52K candidates for interview... (around 7-8%)...and everyone was called in for interview and after interview they had around 45K people who cleared the interview and were available for final selection...
First round of allotment saw some 22k ppl posted and the second round had around 5k ppl joining PSB's....I am also one of those expecting and waiting for the 3rd allotment of PO2....so that I can disappear from the PO discussions....just Kidding...
Just an example to show the weightage of interview and knocking out the interview
I scored 153/250 in IBPS PO2 and due to my horrible interview i could just get 52/100....based on the 80:20 ratio i got only 59.36.....one of my friends (OBC category - category had not much to do in it), got 139/250 but her interview was good and she scored 88 and based on the 80:20, my friend got 62.08 and she got IOB in the 1st allotment and i'm still waiting.....so you can see the difference by scoring high in interview...
I'ld share my worst experience of IBPS PO2 and also the documents u would need to carry for the interview....(as per prev year list), so that u dont get nervous after missing any of those documents..😃😃
Guys..I've got only 63 in IBPS PO...under OBC...any hope? pls share your views...
Documents to be carried for interview at time of Verification
1) Call Letter for interview (which would be released in Jan'14)
2) Application form print out
3) Identity proof and it's photocopy
4) Date of birth proof - birth certificate or ssc/Xth certificate with DOB
5) Academic Qualification - marksheets and certificate along with photo copy (atleast whatever you have declared while filing application)
6) Category Proof and it's photocopy
7)Experience certificate with photocopy
8) Character Antecedents - Character certificate from 2 respectable persons not related to the candidate
9) Miscellaneous...such as computer certificates etc
This is the order how the documents should be arranged for verification, so that it's not a mess around while they verify your documents....
Banks send their officers to a branch office of a bank which has huge premises (it was IOB for chennai - as it's headquarters are also here)
There were 4 panel of interviewers and each panel had 4 officers conducting the interview.....Suppose if each panel did 25 interviews...100 candidates every day and it went around 15 days...so around 1500 candidates were interviewed (possibly more) in Chennai....and we have 28 states, so there would be enough panel to interview 75K candidates....

Luck made a cruel joke out of me.I scored 82 in general category and still couldn't qualify as i scored 5 against cutoff of 6 in aptitude.
