me too, i am working since only 50 days and i have a bond of 1 year. if i leave before that i have to give 75K. thats equal to my 3 month salary. but i am waiting for the final allotment in po2. don't leave your job before you get joining in po2
I would like to clear one thing that merit lists will be prepared separately, as discussed with one of the officials of the bank.
1. What if a ST candidate will be at rank 9400 in overall , he won't get any Tier 1 bank, which he would have got as per his category?
2. IBPS is not gonna ask anyone that you are getting this bank as per overall ranking and that one as per your respective category merit list. Which one would you prefer? If it is so, it would be a long and complicating process, creating a chaos. IBPS will just allot a bank, just "Yes" or "NO".
3. And as you all have analysed the so called merit lists, you can find our friends of reserved category throughout the list from top to bottom. The question is upto what score the list will be combined?
@2013IsMine bhai as u already said both these exams are very different....leave alone the Paper 1 (GS) even 2nd paper is quite different....we should not confuse that aptitude has a very specific meaning...aptitude varies depending upon requirement...Banks need 'number cracking' and 'routine problem' based aptitude...questions there r hardly challenging like the ones we face in MBA (particularly CAT)...in CAT level goes drastically high and innovative and creative problem solving seeps in....in IBPS if a guy routinely practices average repetitive problems he would excel in real exam but for CAT u got to provoke ur mind by solving more n more eerie problems...coming to CSAT, there reasoning n maths sections r very easy...a good sound mind would easily crack those few questions...but let me tell u there is no correlation with the pattern of IBPS....now, the comprehension (verbal) section is more challenging than in IBPS and slightly lower than CAT....that becomes deciding factor...voracious reading habit help in CSATs RC....i scored in 2012 Paper 2 btw 150-160 out of 200....and 100/200 in paper 1....total score approx 250....(cutoff was 198 for general)....now u can see even with high paper 2 i had to secure decent amount in paper1.... no doubt paper 2 boosts ur score giving u advantage (if that paper is ur forte) but securing more than 60 in paper1 still is a challenge which requires thorough reading for past 1 year (at least)....so gist remains, even with strong paper 2 (i won't say just aptitude as it constitutes a meager portion of it) u got to read a lot to clear Prelims (i am excluding luck factor here...:).....).....i hope u got my message....thnx

yeh thats logical and wise thing but i have some issues thats why i am taking the decision i have few other things in pipeline chsl fci further round few symbi collg and tiss and appearing for cmat ,but mba is last resort and want a job po result is the one which will be out first and that will help be to decided what to do mba/new job or something else thats why i am confused

hey Puys.....do any one any idea about whether PSBs will send us for training for 1 year in Manipal Academy or not ? I have read the same on PNB & BOB site about this programme for IBPS recruits. Although one of my friends in BOB denied this but still I want to be sure on this. Any idea on this ??
@mannidada there are 2 cases.. case 1.. ST candidate having 9400 over all rank and say rank 05 in st category... now BOB has total vacancies of say 100 out of 51 are unreserved... now the ST candidate will not get the seat by overall rank but he can get it coz of his category rank...... NOTE- phle ye dkha jayega ki SC, ST and OBC unreserved me aa rhe hai ya ni.. ager unhe unreseved me mlta hai to theek wrna fir category rank dkhi jayegi.. CASE 2.. ST candidate with overall rank 80 and category rank 10.. BOB has 200 seats... now ST candidate qualifies for both unreseved and category seat.... but as he qualified for unreseved seat therefore HE HAS TO TAKE THAT SEAT IN UNRESEVED QUOTA...... and his category rank will lapse... sbse badi baat ye hai ki har bank ki apni alag vacancies hai .. n ye formula har bank pe individually follow krega.....
