I am done with my interview but my interview was not that good. Guys in what situation they fails the candidate. please reply because this is my first interview , I have no idea about how they give marks.

Me: Good Afternoon sir(making eye contact with all male panelists)good afternoon madam
M1 M2 : Good Afternoon..please have a seat

M1: Introduce yourself
Me:told my name,where i live about my graduation,school,hobbies.
M3:asked about family members
Me:told
M2:(this person seemed really happy from the beginning)the government is going to replace all the indirect taxes with a single one..what is the name of that tax?
me:Sir it is the goods and services tax
M2:(with a smile) Very good..Do you think that it is important for the country? Why?
me: yes sir it is important(then explained the benefits of gst)
M2:So why it is still not implemented?
me: Sir an opposition party in not allowing the govt to pass the gst bill in the parliament
M2: which is that opposition party?
me: congress party
M2: As far as i know when they were in govt they wanted to implement this but why they are oppsing it right now? Any incident u know that recently happened?
me:told that Bjp leader Subramanian Swamy filed a case against rahul and sonia gandhi in the National Herald case..
M2:Very good(with a big smile the moment he heard National Herald word)
(After that he M1 M2 started discussing with each other how when a ruling party comes in opposition opposes the same bill that they were willing to pass)
M3:what is inflation?
me: told
M3:Is it good or bad?
me:told
M3:Who controls the inflation and how?
me:told that RBI controls the inflation by changing repo rate and through Open market operations
M3: You applied for Gramin bank po exam also?
me: No sir
M3: Your graduation year?
me: 2015 sir
M3:is this your first interview?
me: yes sir.
M3:Ok.
M1:what will happen when repo rate is very low?
me:explained
M3: a last one.tell me the name of 4 women working at top positions of banks
Me:told the names of arundhati bhattacharya, usha ananthasubramaniam and chanda kochar(with their respective banks)
M3: one more ?
me: sorry sir..
M1 and F: Axis bank?
me:(ekdam dimag se nikal gya tha)
Sorry sir,i don't remember.
M1 M3: Ok you can go..Thank you
M2:very good
Me:Thank you Sir Thank you madam

The panelists were very friendly..
My interview lasted for only 6-7minutes 😞 i tried to maintain smile throughout the interview 😛
Puys kaisa tha mera interview..they asked nothing about graduation or hobbies..only 4-5 questions were asked from banking mainly from inflation and policy rate
My interview experience Introduce urself Why did u resign Don't u think resignation was a bad decision? Did u write any other exam? What is bottom of pyramid in marketing? What is market segmentation? He gave me one pen and asked me to sell Challenges by current banking sector How will u convince customers that public sector banks are better than private Why banks prefer retail loans? What are risks associated with exports? How much did u attempt and what s expected score? {This question they asked me many times} One person told one stupid joke in between I laughed to impress him.
When the written score would be published for PO mains?
What was the highest mark for interview alloted for candidates in previous yr.... Do anyone knows abt it...

Me- yes sir..
M2-introduce about your family.
ME- told about my family and occupation.
M1-you passed in 2014, what are you doing now, joined any coaching.
Me- I am preparing full time for govt job without any coaching.
M1. what is
Me..told them in laymen
M1 asked the relation between manufacturing and banking... ME...could't think of any so told no relation as such...then said there is a hierarchy in bank functioning like in banks.
M2- said ok thank you....all of them looking serious.

I don't know hw was my interview and what marks I would get but I am happy as when I was coming out from the interview room the female interviewr said to the other panelist that "he has got very good convincing power"
I hv left it sector in October. So if the panel asks why sis u leave it sector, then what can I say to convince them ? Can I say "job security" ?
Interview Experience: BOI Noida, Panel 7- Panel :(4M+1F)(Paaji Panel)
1. Me : Good Morning sir..
Panelist : No response at all, Paaji waved hand asking me to come in and asked me to sit down.
2. M1 : So you are from B.Tech, why banking?
Me: Sir, banking as an industry comes with loads of career opportunities, India right now is predicted to be the fastest growing economy, After financial inclusion schemes Banks have already seen a boost they had never seen before, Plus I have interest in economics and i like interacting with people..
3. M1: So banking doesnt require any professional knowledge eeh?
Me: No sir, Banking does require..
M1 (interrupting): But you are from B.Tech, and B.Tech doesnt include anything of Banking, so banking isnt..even if you are selected how would you ever learn how a bank works
Me: No sir, it requires professional knowledge, but I believe, given the 3 months of training , and with some time, I can cope with it, plus the fact am interested in banking.
M1: No no, you dont have any professional knowledge. M2 : If i ask you to become a lawyer and study all law how much time would it take?
Me (confidently) ; 2 to 3 years sir.
M2: People need 5 years atleast to learn all law, and you are telling you can in 2 years (evil grin)..tell me what is partnership?
Me : Told about two enterprises or individuals working together wherein the profit share is on the basis of money they invested, and effort they are putting in, and also sleeping partner..
M2 : Are, tell me the law in company act thats about partnership..
Me: Dunno Sir..
M1: How many companies are registered in company act..?
Me : Dunno Sir
M1: So you know nothing bout laws, similarly you must be knowing nothing about banking..
Me : Not really sir..
M1: Your preferences?
Me : Exim, ECGC ....
M1 : Why EXIM?
Me : Blah Blah foreign posting better perks etc..
M1: BoI >>> EXIM..EXIM is a small bank..boi sends 1000 people abroad per year..how many foreign branches of EXIM?
Me : Named all..
M1 : BoI has 60 foreign offices and some shitty nonsense why BoI is such a great enterprise 😞 ..
Me : Sir, this is my first time, so as others told me, and as i found out, so i filled up..you may call it joining the bandwagon..but next time onwards I will try to find out more.
Paaji : why is US more developed than India..India is having greater market, then?
Me : Better Defence, Better Infrastructure, Better Education System (more number of good colleges/population ratio) , Better space surveillance system, and also, India is an emerging economy, so it can exhibit higher growth rates, while US has almost reached saturation..
Paaji : U know there are so many educated people in India, but still US is strong...
Me : Once again told the same story, but paaji was looking for something else
F : Is economic development qualitative or quantitative?
Me : Both, the concept of GNH and that GDP and GNP can only show the national products, not quality of lifestyle and all...she loooked happy.

Now can anybody predict the marks, panel 7 was overall pretty rude, but i kept my calm in the calamity.

3. Bank correspondance ( Said did not know ).
Rest questions were why bank after btech, why should bank hire you, leadership qualities ( from my previous answer). No introduction, no personal question. In & out in 7 -8 mins. Was not able to convince completely on why bank after btech.

Me- Sir, after MBA in marketing, I took an additional certificate course in Financial Management from symbiosis . It a correspondence course.

Me- told
M5- what is the difference between DD & Cheque?
Me- explained
M3- Why do we prepare Trial Balance.
Me- explained but my answer was not upto expecting but Sir was very nice.. he explained me well. I thanked him for that.
M3- ye accounting me 3 rules/ account hote hain. Pata hai kya?
Me- explained
M3- Acha ye Anytime, Anywhere banking kya hoti hai?
Me- explained
M3- apke papa kya krte hai. Unka kis bank me account hai.?
Me- told.
M3- oh apne 2013 or 2014 me bhi diya tha ye exam
Me- yes sir in 2013 I couldn't clear cut off & in 2014 cleared written & interview but couldn't make it to the final merit list
M3- so iska matlab.. progress hui hai. Good good.. is saal bhi honing chahiye progress.
Me- ji Sir. . Koshish to poori ki hai better karne ki is baar
All panel members finally wished me luck & I thanked them.. that's it
