Every eve you got to see your family, I just wished i got to see my parents soon. You celebrated festivals with lights and music, I celebrated with my comrade in bunkers. We both married, Your wife got to see you everyday, My wife just wished i was alive. You were sent to business trips, I was sent on line of control. We both returned, Both wives couldn't control their tears, but You wiped her but, I couldn't. You hugged her but, I couldn't. Because I was lying in the coffin, With medals on my chest and, Coffin wrapped with tricolour. My way of life ended, Yours continued. We both left home at 18.
Expressing your anger is one thing and expressing it in the right manner is another !!! I was going through some of the posts here, and it was disappointing to realize that, we are on the verge of repeating the mistakes that we have done in the past. While blaming , shaming and trying to held one entire community responsible, how come did it happen that, we forgot about the "People's president" who had the vision of modern INDIA, the one who established his identity as an INDIAN, the one whose unfortunate demise left the nation in shock !!! How come we forgot about the first education minister of India, who chose to remain in India after the partition, saying that his country is India and he shall never leave it. People gave an example of some poor dialouge of a movie, I dont know if they saw that movie till the end but it is disheartening to realize that inspite of the fact that the message of that movie was very loud and clear, we have understood nothing out of it !!! I am sure that, more than the killing of armed forces personnel, the objective of the enemies was to destabilize the Indian society by creating tensions between the different sections of the society. Let them not succed in their agenda..In these hard times, let us stay united !!! Stop defaming and demeaning one entire community !!! Let us maintain peace !!! The rest, our military will take care of !!! Jai Hind !!!
