Question (1):- Option (B).

Infinite Stimuli cannot be referred to as "amount". It is a countable quantity - so using "number" would be most appropriate here; Rule out options (A), (D) and (E).

Between options (B) and (C); we are not given any information about the brain being "THE" means. So use "a" in the place of "the".

Question (2):- Option (E).

Options (A), (B) & (C) - clumsy construction, wrong tense usage.
Between (D) and (E) - (E) is more direct and concise, so go with (E).

Hope this helps!

This is a subjunctive, so instead of "was" it will be "were".
Between the options C and D, C is the right answer because it is parallel.

2) Over his 65-year life span, Hughes, one of Americas most enduring writers and a key figure in the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s, will have published hundreds of poems, plus novels, short stories, autobiographies, librettos, essays and childrens books.

Since the sentence conveys a meaning in the past tense, only C or E could be the answer. Now out of these two, E distorts the meaning of the sentence and so C is the right answer.

3)The exhibition of ancient Egyptian funerary art imposing statues, intricately painted coffins, and numerous accoutrements, drew hundreds of people each day, equivalent to the number of visitors to last years Impressionist show.
A. equivalent to the number of visitors to last years Impressionist show.
B. the equivalent of those that visited last years Impressionist show.
C. equal to those who visited
D. as many as the visitation to
E. as many as visited

equivalent is wrong because it does not applies to countable nouns.
In E the comparasion is not correct and in D the use of the word visitation is wrong so C is the answer..

Please provide your answers with explnations :)

Please let me know if my answers are correct...

Hii..
These questions tense based...
My takes are in bold.
1) If a latter-day Robinson Crusoe was marooned on an island with an eclectic mix of palms, he could eat dates and coconut meat, relax in a palm recliner in his palm-post bungalow under a palm-thatch roof, buff his palm-plank surfboard with carnauba palm wax and watch a palm-fringed sunset.

B. If a latter-day Robinson Crusoe was marooned on an island with an eclectic mix of palms, he could eat dates and coconut meat, relaxing in a palm recliner in his palm-post bungalow under a palm-thatch roof,
