Media shold always be treated as singular entity and analyses is wrong . So these 2 rules would eliminate for you the choices B C D .
Coming to a and e ,
E can be eliminated since their is used for media which is ncorrect since as i said media is a singular entity .
It could be because 'while' brings out the contrast well when compared to 'though'.
sparing :
ING form is generally used to represent two actions which are occuring simultaneously .
Hence ing form choices should only be choosen . I thnk this eliminates few chhooices .
and then while is obviously better than though since though can be used in the meaning of despite .....while can be used in the meaning of at the same time...........
