BINGO!!!
1. the comparison is between two clauses.. 'like'(B) is ruled out.. there is no contrast(D).. E was very wordy.. A and C were close but in C comma was missing before which.. left wid option A..
2. compa'rison is with '20 percent of young adults' (a number).. only B and E were left out.. of these two, option E was a far better choice..
3. 'chances of' is the best idiomatic expression.. of C and D, D changes the meaning (adult survivors themselves have their systoms recognised n treated).. C was better choice
4. chances of causing was the best idiomatic expression

Bingo man,
The OAs are 1) C 2) E 3) B
Pl. post ur explanation
1. The use of 'TO' is not required here, hence D is rejected.Option E changes the meaning of the sentence by using 'the'. In options A and B *of* does not fit in the sentence as it is followed by effective. option c provides a clear and a concise answer .
2. Options B and C are wordy, hence eliminated. The structure of the sentence and also the fact that it is not clear asrick ques to what *it* is referring to rules out option A. option D looks good but it looks more like that single strain of plant will increase the likelihood of impact ... rather than the USE OF SINGLE STRAIN, hence option E.
3. I think this is a trick question, because on starts drawing parallels as soon as the option are given,so D and E are ruled out . And is required here to connect the sentences. A is ruled out because it contains threatening whereas threaten would be a better choice here. On lookig closely it is evident that there is something missing in C (something like a perhaps/may). Hence option B is the best choice.

1) Maintenance of policy sounds awkward. Maintain sounds better that leaves us with C and D. D is unnecessary wordy by putting continue. C is the answer.
2) If clause is incorrect that rules out A, B. C suggest "A practice increases the likelihood", which is wrong. E perfectly states "the Use ....increases..." E is the answer.
3) The resulting increase...will endanger.... and may even threaten" We need threaten to make the parallelism perfect, which is only in B.

good bunch of questions. Some of them i already knew, here are my answers.
1) pronoun error of their so rules out A,D. "and" is not required and "not for" is required for parallelism. Answer is B.
2)double trouble. two negative makes the sentence redundant and wordy except choice C, which is the answer.
3)"That" is required for the parallelism, that rules out A,B,C. "The path of the orbit is circular" shows the fact so present tense is ok.
4) choice B sounds best for perfect use of modifier and preserves the meaning. too long to explain why other choices r wrong....
5) my pick is C.

nice question and a good doubt. first we need present perfect tense for parallelism so have been is required. that rules out B,C, E. now between A and D, here is the diff. If you can answer the question with "why" then because of is perfect choice. Why analysts have been predicting? because of the economy. Because of modifies verb, while due to modifies "the economy`s strength" So because of is a better choice (A). And one more thing, most of the wrong choices in GMAT have more than one error, try finding other when confused. see the will in choice A, analysts are predicting, so it needs to be in future tense because its a future. "would" is the best choice but since none of the choices has "would" go for A.

hope it helps.
