I was confused between B and E. in E comparison looks parallel. Not that you are saying E is wrong. Pls post the answer and explanation.

Answer for last Qsn should be D. During is wrong usage in this case, since it doesn't refer to any time frame. E adverb typically should be near verb not 'In a time'

Others: Pls try participate in the discussions. I only see 2/3 folks consistently active.

Thx.

I am not convinced about A. A uses 'As' followed by noun phrase.

In B Such is adjective modifying noun industries. 'Like' has nouns on both the sides. 'which is prospering' that follows comma modifies 'Telecommunications' .

So B seems fine to me.

Could anybody explain what's wrong with B?

HashimB, your input here shall be appreciated.

Thx.

(D) to be an extension
(E) to extend

I marked E, but the correct answer is A. Can you tell me why ? What grammer rule does this fall into ?

I think, here, meaning is more important than the syntax. Its really awkward to say 'forbid X from striking' (strike used in this sense is a noun). instead 'Forbid strike by X' conveys the same meaning clearly.

B seems to be awkward -the use of and...with
C/D-use o which
E-with, as well as
So A seems to be the right choice. Its a case of parallel construction. The first and is used to differ between the first and the second sentence strcture and second "and" is used to show the end of choice.
