I want to know how accurate representative of actual GMAT are pricenton review adaptive tests.
I took one today. Got 43 marks in VA and 41 in QA and score is 680.
I did 31/37 correct in QA and 32/41 in VA.
I guess with similar attempt, GMAT Prep wud have given more score.
Any idea?

Since u have a tech background, i assume ur quant would be strong. GMAT is more of logic and reasoning than anything else. It is also about time management.
i would suggest that you take the gmat diagnostic test (it is freely available on the net - www.mba.com). this will help u identify ur weaknessess. Buy specific Manhattan guides, this will help u strengthen your weak points.
Definitely, go thru OG11 and Kaplan 800.
take as many tests as u can - this will help u prepare for test day..

I need your help for deciding how to go about the preparations...
I have a technical background.
The sort of plan I am looking for is
a) A list of books that i will follow in the entire course of study
b) Is OG advisable to begin with?
c) Should I depend on other books simultaneously.If yes then which ones?

yes, it's right. I have read on some GMAT forum that questions are same.
OG10 has been split into 3 books - OG11 and OG11 math review and OG11 verbal review.
secondly a friend told me that the explanation is better in OG11.

OG has a collection of questions so that's good but for strategy and tips please refer to KaplanPP...however this is only an opinion subject to an individuals discretion.

when the total GMAT score comprises of verbal n quant section den wat is d importance of AWA score? when does it come into play n how imp is it in getting admission in a gud bskool? does it make a difference if i get a 4 or a 6 in AWA after getting a 700+ GMAT score.ne pointers wud b appreciated.

I'm a techie with 1.5 yrs of work ex.Pretty much came to know the reality when I first joined this IT industry that I don't belong to this world 
. I am very keen to pursue my MBA program outside India. Not sure about all the feasibility surrounding the program,it made me write few lines which could enable me to understand more on this. I am pretty much new to the GMAT format,as I am completely unaware of. I have few queries,which answered would surely help me.
1. Wanted to know if at all there is any good coaching Inst available for GMAT in Bangalore and what is the fee structure.I've heard Veristas is primarily focused on GMAT but the charges are pretty high. Pl update me regarding the same. And is it at all necessary to undergo coaching.
2. If I dont undergo any kind of coaching for the same, I want to know which are the best books available to begin with in all the sections and where can i find them.
Pl update me with my above mentioned queries which would help me enlighten my knowledge further for the same.
