i just want to know if anyone is having a soft copy of kaplan premier edition or gmat papers.. or official guide to gmat.. I am really short of material as far as Verbal is concerned...
I presently have the princeton review's gmat book. I really need to get a 720+, so decided to buy one more book. But i'm confused between kaplan 800 and the kaplan premier program. which out of the 2 should i go for?

kaplan premier is the basics book which has 50 question each in RC,CR,SC and quants.
while kaplan 800 is for higher level. so take a call on ur prep level and how it fits in ur plan of study.
if u r done with basics and confident then kaplan 800 comes in picture which should b done in last stages of prep

Kaplan mocks r not avail in soft copy . nowhere i found the pirtaed one too 😉 but still tehre r ways the way u get movies 😃 try if u r lucky

OG u can get easily on net just google properly
also for verbal get verbal review and then 1000 SC,CR ,RC these will b more than what u need for VA 😃

I'll be giving my GMAT in the 2nd week of august..(and that means i hardly have anytime at all to prepare for the exam!)
What preparation strategy must I use to ensure I give my best on the "G-Day"?
I have OG-10 & 11; I also managed to get my hands on Princeton Review and some Manhattan Books (Word Translator, SC Guide and Math Guide)..
I read about the books on Kaplan being quite tough to crack.. would you advice me to take any of the Kaplan books to work out?
I know these questions are quite fundamental.. but I'll be really glad if someone can give me their views on how to about the gmat prep (in just 45 days).

I hav bin thru the posts of dis thread but reading dese posts made me even more confused.... kindly tell me wats "OG 10/11" etc....i hav no clue wat does OG stands for...cud make out only SC as sentence correction....
i wrote the gmat once witout any preparation and managed to score a 650. also i think i can arrange for the OG. so wud the kaplan 800 be the bttr choice of the 2?
or shud i buy both.. i thougt 1 wud b enuf as i already 've the PR.
OG 10 / 11 stand for the Official Guide for GMAT Prep (10th and 11th edition respectively)...
These two books must be something like your bible for GMAT Prep.. as most questions that come in the exam are quite similar to the ones that are there in the book.
'Course there are loads of other books in the market to help you with the prep.. like Kaplan 800, Kaplan Premier Program, Princeton Review, Manhattan Guide and so on.. You'll probably need to make up your mind and decide which ones would suit your prep..
Some Puys have written about their GMAT experience and how they prepared for the same.. this might give u an idea about the time they needed for preparation, the books they referred to, etc..

Can anyone please tell me whether Kaplan800 2008-2009 publication is different from Kaplan800 2006-2007 publication.
As per the site it includes:
* NEW! Online companion with intensive math concepts review and practice drill.
As per the rates online, it is cheaper than the 2006-2007 publication.
I was wondering why latest publication would be cheaper.
Has anyone used it?

1000RC and CR will no longger be found on PG. Both are material that have come out of Scoretop. Given Scoretop's recent run-in with the GMAC, i'm not sure you want to risk getting banned from ever taking the GMAT do you?
If you come across these material in the forums, please report the post so that it can be deleted.

can somebody plz tell me the exact name of the Princeton Review's buk (along wid da edition) that i should follow 4 my GMAT prep....went to da market n saw a Princeton Review's "Cracking the GMAT" worth Rs 360/- ... i didn't buy it coz i didn't find it very usefull...it contained more of strategies rather than prep material...
also what is the latest edition of OG?!

the name of princeton book u ve mentioned is right.dat's d book.wat i ve incurred from this thread is that this book is good for starting off wid ur prep n for basics.for more practice u cn refer other books mentioned on this thread.i wud recommend u to go thru all d 130 pages.it ll b really very helpful.
