I am planning to study for GMAT............But I donot know much about it ie what to study and what is the right strategy for the exam.........
Requesting to throw some light on books (especially Verbal as I am a bit weak in it :() and the right approach for the exam..........
Also suggest whether the b-schools distinguish between 10+2+3 and 10+2+4 curriculum.............

IMHO - you should do all the 3 books. PLUS some stuff from Scoretop.
Look at it this way - 50questions a day is doable. And you have about 40days left which is around 2000questions - which is more than all the 4books put together.

www.mba.com no longer contains the PowerPrep, they have the GMATPrep instead.
Powerprep was the software offered by ETS and is no long "officially" available. Your best luck is to try to find it in some esnips folder or some warez site.

OG 11th edition is costing me around 1600 bucks. Could someone pls tell me should I buy the book or wait for the 12th edition (I am not sure when the 12th edition would be released - forgive my ignorance 
)?

Buy it! The OG11 is a new edition and it'll be quite a while before another edition comes out.
Don't worry about the cost. You can always re-sell it
