I am an economics graduate with around two years of work ex in a consulting firm ( a big 4 firm) .
My profile has alot of extracurrriculars including sports wherein i participated in Asian Games, world championships etc.
Im not bragging here , but i jsut want to know whether i should retake the exam considering my low quant score?
What do you think? I sent scores to INSEAD, Darden , Haas, Stanford GSB and Tuck. Looking at applying probably next year or the year after.
Im hoping im able to leverage on my extracurriculars and compensate for the GMAT score.
I just want to know wheether you guys think i should give the exam again???
Thanks.
the stig.
Hey..
I think 710 is a good score. It doesn't make sense for you to take it again because this is pretty much around the average score at any of the Bschools that you have opted for. I am sure getting a 700+ and then writing the exam will definitely raise eyebrows about the reasons for a 2nd attempt.
Now infact you can focus on essays and working on your profile more. I believe with a sports background you will get an upper hand thus chill n work on applications.
Cheers,
Ankita
Other people vie to get in Big 4, so not point taking the exam again. its a good score, backed with your leadership exp in sports. In fact you have a great profile; leverage it well.
