Hi,
First of all apologies to one and all for the delay in replying .We guys were busy with our end terms and then our comprehensive exams , so were finding it difficult to reply back to you guys.Even now we have to start preparatios for our journey back to cities where we will be doing our summers .
Now to the questions. I will try and answer most of them
About Hidden costs , i.e. costs Charged by administration but not mentioned, I dont think there is any . Yes you will have your day toi day expenses, like Mess bills , Laundry , occasional eat-outs which vary from person to person. the range of these expenses is 2000-7000 per month depending on your lifestyle. Also there are various Clubs like Finance Club , Marketing Club, H.R. Club(Shashi is a core committee member ) etc which charge a membership fee of Rs 100-200 for 2 years .If you decide to join them (and most will) then you will have to pay the fee.
About Laptops now. Laptops were sold to us at a very nominal price through the college .Last time Laptops could be bought from outside or purchased from outside as per candadite's wish. The exact details will be given to you after you get a call , so don't worry now.I do not know whether tey will adopt the same policy this year also.
About Date of declaration of results , I suggest you mail the Admissions Office and find out , because I don't have much idea about it.
About Mean Salaries etc I think I have already mentioned it a couple of times but I will repeat for you guys .The highest slary is 6 lakhs ,Median salary is 4 lakhs and average is 4.5 lakhs.
About Comparisons with other B-schools I think you could refer to other treads about GIM where shashi has compared GIM objectively to other B-schools. I think its also mentioned in post #36 on this tread itself .

GIMis indeed a fun place to be .When you guys come here in June , maybe you guys will have to be indoors most of the time (Monsoon Season), but the FUN starts in 2nd term when the rains go away and the Beaches , Waterfalls and all the Natural Beauty of Goa are at their best.Goa is a popular tourist destination, and although you might hjave come here earlier, there are a lot of great places in Goa that most people don't see.
There are a lot of fun placs even in and around campus .Located on the banks of the beautiful river Mandovi the campus is unique in its own sense . Its compact and previously housed a medical college.Two beautiful islands Chorao and Divar are located on the other side of the river and students often go there, just to relax and enjoy the serenity. There is a hill with steps leading upto the top where an amazing view of the adjoining areas await you.
Now about Faculty.Faculty here is highly qualified , most are Phd's from IIM's and XLRI.teaching methodology is ok, but yeah the workload is heavy. Hence you will rarely find time to go out or have fun except for the Weekends .
Our Cultural Club regularly organises various Cultural events like Diwali,Dussera Onam ,Saraswati Puja and a host of such Cultural events. In addition Official college parties are also held at regular intervals at Discos around Goa . They also organise Treks , Beach Trips with overnight stay etc
The Various Clubs like Finance,Marketing ,H.R. organise a lot of events Including Seminars,Talks , Corporate Training Etc

Hi everyone . ATB to every one .i had my gd/pi in bangalore and it went well . my xat percentile is 96.8 with 20 month work-ex . this is my last call( other than BIM whose gd calls r not yet out).hope to be in goa soon.

Well last prediction from my side....i think people with 80-85 percentile please just be preapared for the worst....people with 90 + are ok.no prob.......
