Just want to add I m not following this forum for a while as my XAT score is low , n I never expected any call. But surprise, I got a call . Got the mail yesterday from GIM for interview on march 2nd, bangalore .
The suprise factor is my XAT percentile is 67 with quant 84 and 50s in the other two sections. I got a call may b cozzz I have represented my state in swimming n have organised some tech fest , but still dont know what r the chances .....
Confused of getting the call...but still....

Can u say something on how to prepare for interview/GD (topics or what sort of interview questions , etc.....Just in brief....) in this week as I didnt prepared much cozz of low XAT score......
Kindly help, please , want to bring out most out of it.....

CSR is a initiative by GIM (a unique one amongst B-School peers) wherein all students have to necessarily take a project of their choice, which deals with a socially relevant topic.
The aim of this project is to help students understand the problems of society by not just reading about it in text books but working with the stakeholders and trying to solve the problem. This project is immensely beneficial from personal experience point of view also. One learns a lot while working with a real world problem.
Now regarding the third language: Students are encouraged to take a third language (not binding) in order to have an edge in today's globalized world. The languages offered here are: French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. This is not a part of the PGDM curriculum and hence not graded. However a certification is provided to the participants.
1. For the first time I feel that the thread is serving it's purpose.
2. Aspirants discussing on various topics and making themselves prepare for the D-Day.

I dont have my marksheets (degree) for my grad (2011 passout).
Will a internet printout suffice? I mean I cant do better than that now. Suffice karna hi padega.

1. But why don't you have. Do justify that if asked by the panel.
2. Most likely, the print out should work.
3. But originals will be required without fail at the time of Admission.

1. As already told earlier in admissions helpdesk, GIM will be giving preference to those having GOVT RECOGNISED ACHIEVEMENT. So there have been few calls based on that. You are one of them.
2. Check my 2nd post on Page no 102. It has links for all important posts on this thread. You can get some insight.
3. Get back for any kind of query.
4. You may join the FB Group for other trivial queries. PM me your GIM ID and full name and send the request. The link for group is in my signature.

It is okay if you get only the print out of e mail. But you can send the mail to admissions office to get your gim id.. do give all your details..

I never worked for IT. So don't have much idea. But what I can say from my experience is that any kind of question can be asked. You may expect domain related question. But that won't be very technical. It would just be about basics of banking and insurance sector. So do have some basic idea about it.
i m a b.tech fresher and i hv a doubt that if panel asks abt whether u r placed or not.....then is it affects if we r placed .....bcoz they might hv counter questions that if u r placed then why u dont wrk firsts then MBA.......
or if we say dat i hv nt placed yet then may b dat would b d bad impression on d panel.........plz help....

My suggestion :
You can simply say that you had clear cut motive to go for MBA after your graduation. And that's why you opted out of placement process. Now the question comes Why MBA?
Now, it's entirely your call how to answer.

sir if wanna say that i m placed just for opening of oder options but my first motive is to do mba....den it would b ok or is it sm in negative sense.....

It is def OK.
You can say that you always aspired to do an MBA from a elite institute.
So for keeping your options open, you wanted a good placement as well.
