Yes you should prepare some sort of justification for low score in any section and provide backing by stating your CAT score if you have scored better in that section in CAT, because it is very common question from panellist i.e. why you have scored less score in that section.
ATB!!
And if CAT score is low too ? Cat doesnt have DM ,, just LR right.. my DM is 55.xx percentile .. this is the lowest of the three..!!

See if you have a justifiable reason because of which you scored less in any section then you should state that, or else we all have to live with the truth, because at the end what we have scored is sealed and we can't change it. Also just because you scored less in one particular section they won't reject you!! If you have the potential and they find you deserving they will surely select you, so just give it your best shot and prepare well for GD/PI, you should beat others in your area of expertise and create a POD for yourself. Get back in case of further query.
I have been called for the GD/PI. I had a conflict of dates as it was clashing with one of other calls.
I mailed to GIM as was instructed by AvinashJha, and they were really nice and responded back quite instantly and asked me to select a slot(8:30 or 1:30) on 5th or 6th March at Goa, if it was possible for me.
I replied back with my preferred slot and date requesting them to acknowledge/confirm the same.
However, no communication has been done from their part till then.
I wanted to ask that how much time they take in confirming the slot, if anyone who has asked for a change and got it might help in this case.
It would really be nice if some seniors/students at GIM could also help answering the question.

Request for some patience here.
Jeny mam handles all these herself. And she must be getting so many mails. So it might take sometimes a day or 2 to get the reply.

Yes. It may be asked. Be ready for all kinds of questions.
Why MBA? Why GIM? Why 2 year MBA and not an executive one if you have 4-5 yrs of work ex? How MBA will help you in your further progress of career? 5 or 10 years down the line.
was going thru an old aRticle on PG on GIM and the director said ....to bring batch diversity we will give negative scores to people not frm IIT and NITs. Also BPO and IT person will get low weightage. Preference will be given to people from Arts, commerce and science background.
I have scored 87.5%ile in XAT with 98 in DM , 71 in QA and 65%ile in Verbal...On the other hand my verbal score in CAT is 99.60.. Now can i bring a copy of my CAT score card and mention this if they ask me why this %ile in verbal..Is it okay to keep a copy in my file??

1. Yes, if you wish you can get your CAT Scorecard along.

1. We are not very sure of how these things are followed in the actual scoresheet.
2. But be very sure that these make a very minimal difference at the end.
3. All that matters finally is the GD/PI performance.
4. To substantiate this, we still have majority of engineers in our batch. We have majority of them fro IT Background only.
5. So don't think on what is not in your hands. Think on what you can do. And that is performing on the D-Day and that is not very far. You have an oppurtunity. Go and grab it. All the best.
