To the seniors, Reading some of the older posts in this thread, I gathered that all candidates have to carry with them, to the GD/PI, a file about themselves, which is to be presented to the panel during the PI. Can you tell us what all documents should the file contain?

To all the people who are appearing for the GD-PI's , besides what Avinash has said , please keep the following points in your mind too
GD
1) Although it is advisable to be amongst the 1st 2-3 people to speak in a GD as it gives you more time to cover all your points , even if you do not do so don't lose hope
2) Speak in short points . For example if you want to mention three things on a certain topic , Speak them in the form of points , This saves time and ensures that no one loses interest
3) Although having or presenting numbers on a certain topic is always a bonus , it is of no use unless you present your own opinion / interpretation of the numbers along with them
4) At the end when you'll be asked to write your take on the GD , try and be as brief as possible , they don't give you much time to think , you'll have to start writing as soon as they give you the signal to do so , a lot of people including me were unable to finish their essays as they spend too much time phrasing their sentences
PI
1) Being Spontaneous matters a lot , but so does being prepared. Sound Prepared but not Rehearsed
2) Keep in mind that you will get plenty of chances in a PI to drive the PI to the topics of your strength , grab those opportunities and make the most of them
3) Dress Properly and Neatly , Shabbily dressed people do not leave a good impression in GD-PI's
4) Smiling always helps :)
5) And last , it is always said that ask the Panel a question or two at the end of the PI when they ask you too , but remember only do so if you have relevant questions , do not ask something just for the sake of it , the Panel can easily find that out by the quality of the questions !
As Abhishek has mentioned, it always helps to be prepared in an interview, but don't sound as if you've mugged up a speech. Take a look at your life in general and make a list of all the things that you feel are worth mentioning. Try and establish a link between them and why you wish to do an MBA. You're basically selling yourself over everybody else out there, so if you can prove to them that you're made to do an MBA, you'll be in. But these are guys with many years of work experience behind them, so don't try to give them Gyaan! We give them a lot of that during classes anyway, so they'll see right through that! 😃

I am anxious to know if they consider the sectional percentiles and question on why the QA percentile was so less with the others being above 95%? I scored around 20.xx in Quants. I have got a call for the GDPI but hopefull that they dont consider the sectionals for the final convert.
Dear Seniors, my gdpi is on 27th Feb in Sanquelim campus at 8.30am. So, I am planning to reach there on 26th evening. Any accommodation facility in/nearby the campus for ladies?

Don't worry about the sectionals..
Even for convert, it should not be a worry.
I myself had 9%ile in VA last year. So that should clear all the confusion.

1. Most likely, accomodation facility won't be provided by the college.
2. There are soom good hotels to stay near by the campus (in a radius of 10km). Will let you all know the details if required.
