Here are few points that you can use while framing your answer.
1) Having worked in an industry where headcount matters a lot, I have seen that the role of HR is significant. They do have deadlines to meet and if they fail to deliver a specis number of people in a specific time then the operation suffers.
2) The most important aspect of working in a company is knowing it's policies. here HR has a major role to play. Right from the period of induction HR has to make sure that each and every employee is aware of the company policies. Now these policies are also available for everybody to read on the company intranet. However the role of HR is important in making sure that the employees has effective understanding of it. So I think these things cannot be done by any other domain of the organisation and HR importance is priceless.
3) In many companies there is a department called Training HR. I think the roles of these people are the most significant. They conduct and organise training sessions on various topics for all the employees. They add to the "value" of each employee so that they also can gro with the growth of company.
4) The other area where HR role is important is creating a good ambience at workplace by organising events on important days where the emplyoyees get to know each other better as an individual.

Depends on lot many factors. Few of them being :
1. Number of applicants through CMAT.
2. %ile scored by the applicants.
3. Quality of applicants.
i m state level hockey player ,, i have a certificate of state level tournament.. will gim consider this for shortlisting..?
