One quick question.. How can I change Date/Venue of my interview call?

I am not able to find the webpage on gim.ac.in where I have filled in the application details.

I will require these details for the interview on 27 feb 2012.

Please share that link.

Below are few of the expected questions if you have decided your specialization. However some of these questions can be asked to anyone as they are generic in kind.
HR
HR is for the people who are 'good at interacting with others'. Do you have this quality in you?
No one picks HR. It's only because they have no other choice, that they do an HR course. Then Why do you want to take up HR as your majors?
Generally HR managers are paid less than Marketing or Finance managers. Why dont you take some other specialization?
Marketing
What is marketing? Explain its core concepts.
What is the difference between marketing and sales?
How would you sell this product to me?
Explain why you think you are suitable for Marketing?
Finance
Tell us any important financial news from this week. What is your take on that.
Basic questions from economy like questions on CRR/SLR, Sensex etc.
If you have mentioned that you have worked in finance related profile then expect further questions related to your profile. For ex. As I was working as a freelancer/consultant, they asked me what my profitability margin was.
PM me for any specific query related to PI questions.
All The Best.

Thanks a lot 😃 I am planning to go for Supply Chain Management in the long term. So, as per the course structure what I can see is that it's a part of Operations. What type of questions can I expect from them?

can some tell what all details were asked in that application page?

I hope it was all objective ones (like x, xii, graduation, work-ex, etc)and not subjective ones (Why MBA, SOP)?

You can expect basic question, that too if you show your interests towards Ops.

You may be asked what is supply chain? What is logistics? How will you ensure quality? etc..
These are the kind of questions you may expect.
What are the responsibilities of an Operations Manager?
Operation Management has a lot of technical aspects. Do you find yourself suitable for that profile and why.
What do you know about Supply chain management and flow of goods across various levels of production?
Questions about production decisions, including contracting, scheduling, and planning process.
Inventory decisions, including quantity, location, and quality of inventory.

Transportation strategy, including frequency, routes, and contracting.

I was planning on telling operatons and stuff as my choice but now i want to refrain from telling anything about it as i am not sure i can handle cross questions at all.can u suggest me what shold i say if they ask me what do u really wanna do?
can i tell them that i am keeping all my options open and want to get holistic [picture of all the specuilizations in the first year andd then decide accordingly???
You will def get a mail.

The mails are still being sent. So request you to be patient for little more time.

Hey buddy I sent both of you a private message on facebook to let me join the GD/PI group out there..

Please let me know if I need to provide any more information to you!

Yes it is absolutely fine if you say that you have not yet planned any majors/minors. As most of us come from non-business backgrounds, getting a holistic view of all the subjects in the first year and then deciding based on your area of interest seems logical enough.

In fact there are so many people who find it tough to choose their specialization even after 1 year of MBA. You can also say that operations interest you but you would like to make the final choice only after having had a feel of all the other subjects.

As far as cross questioning is concerned, questions in PI are never so technical unless you really have a background in the related subject.

Thank you siddarth ,that was really helpful.
Also if i may add,i would like to know is it really important to know which sector would u like to join.Look in my case ,the reason of doing an MBA is that i am intrigued by the business side of things and want top make it big(like a CEO or something) ,bt what if i don't know which specialization i wanna take(although i am more inclined towards operations ) and which sector i wanna go into?
