Just had a question about the recruitment procedure. Are the students allowed to sit for as many interviews as they like or is it that once you have accepted an offer you cannot appear for the other ones.
can you also appear for interviews for companies coming from different sectors i.e marketing as well as HR.
maybe it sounds stupid but just wanted to know.....................

Well well well, the batch hasn started and guys are talking abt Placements. If you are talking about Summer Placements, then yes. Once an offer has been made to you, you have to accept that. The moment you get one offer, you are out of the process.
However, ths doesn apply to Finals. U can get more than one offer. But the moment you accept one, you can not sit for more.

In case u followed my previous posts .. the one thing that I had mentioned was .. "the passion of the students towards GIM" and this small portion of what he feels abt GIM will make u all feel happy ..

Why I hate you guys
Dear People,
I am driven to further a bit about myself and reasons for my presence in this particular thread. OK, I passed out in 2005, itself. I work for an Indian MNC at Pune. So, I am your super senior. Now why should someone like me poke around, when for some, it is a bit intrusive.3 reasons: One, I am the senti type for all things which concern that lovely old pile of bricks that I left beside the serene mandovi. Such is this insane attraction that I find reasons and manipulate ways to visit GIM often. Like, when I dropped in for final placements and wrangled a summer trainee as well! I shall not disclose her name. That is an assignment you will probably be bestowed upon by your seniors on your first night there. I am her guide, by the way so would be unprofessional. Secondly, because I truly madly deeply hate you guys!!! Why? How could I not? I am burning with envy here! In some time, you would be there. At my treasure trove of memories! At the paradise, which is GIM. Imagine, lovely green trees, window by the cubes where you could sit on, seeing Mandovi sparkle by in the moonlight. Genes, a bar for the drinker type long winding road to Diwar island church, where you walk (or jog) on the rain wet clean road surrounded by green sea of harvest in the fields. And the parties, of course! Thirdly because I wish you well. Not in strict formal sense, but as some one who had walked, ran, scarped, slipped and flown on that road which awaits your first tentative steps ; on that road, along the way, your first friends, bonds, which shall last the lifetime Hard work, lack of sleep but but an inherent sense of freedom rarely enjoyed . Prof. Verenekar with his poem of One moment she smiles There are so many thingsbut let this lecture end here! I told you I was the senti type!For those with the perseverance to endure a longer discourse on GIM and what to unlearn . Or je tusi hor expenditure kar sakde ho taan contact Sahara Airways(before Jet takes them up completly
)and a connecting flight of lko-del-goa will be at service your higness .P.S-I can only guide you till goa as regarding ribandar i myself needs to be andar there yet................so seniors(or over-aggressive batchies
