I have send my DD today for 30,000/- . I also spoke to Rajani at the Andhra Bank in Panaji. She was very helpful and she clarified all my doubts. As I am working in Bangalore and my mother is working in Kolkata so she informed me to pick up a education loan form from any andhra bank in Bangalore. Then I have to go to Goa with all the required documents and the loan will be processed in 10 days even without my mother being with me. What the bank will do is send a letter to kolkata for my mother to sign and submit at amy andhra bank in kolkata.

When we receieved our admits last year, we always had the GIM 2007 thread on the main page of pagalguy. We kept posting that frquently.
This isn't the case with the new admits. Come on people, presence on pagalguy should be paramount. Keep posting.

Well its nxt to impossible for all to be present in any meet....so 15th is d date..whoever is avl can come.......if some1 misses well den he can come next time........some1 said bandra....so be it.....it wud be gud if that some1 can also suggest some place in bandra.....i believe bandra has a mc donalds.....so we can meet der.....but i have no idea how 1 gets der....

Wid notin much happenin on the thread thought I wud post smthg to keep it alive.
Just came back from Goa after visiting the college. And wat follows is a brief a/c of the whole trip.
The idea behind visting the college was to clear any doubts if there were any once and for all and plus make that all importanat payment of the first installment srry second list guys :), Started out from Mumbai on a Volvo on the 7th of april at arnd 7 p.m. and reached Panjim arnd 9 a.m., as was told a 12 hr journey. Then after some help from a local traveling with us( oh srry .. I was accompanied by a frnd who is also takin up anubha) reached the Panaji bus stand, where we boarded one of the pvt buses going to Ribander Hotel Seema. The bus journey from Panaji to Ribander was really beautiful wit the bus goin thru a very narrow road which separates the mainland from the Mandovi river very scenic to say the least (cost 4 bucks). In fact the entire feel about the place reminded a lot of my native place Kerala. This is the very road that separates the college from the river and thats when I was left wonderin wats the scene like during monsoons !!! A few mins from the college was where we got down from the bus, in front of Hotel Seema arnd 10. a m. The hotel was very decent giving a view of the river. After abt an hour all freshened up, walked down to the college. It was pretty confusing as we were looking arnd for the Admin room or the office :-?. Infact first landed up nxt to the girls hostel in all of this but then the office turned out to be pretty close from there. A very soft spoken lady greeted us and we handed over the DD. We asked the lady, abt the hostel facilities to which prompt came a reply Ill ask one of the security ppl to take ull arnd the college. I asked the lady whether we cud meet up wid ne of the seniors but she told us that there wud be a few but since they were doin their summers they mite not be available. And just to make sure I asked the lady her name to which she replied Jennifer aha! The sweet voice that used to greet us on the phone.
We were then taken arnd the college . The entire place seemed like a maze :confused: wid lots of buildings infact It was the admin building I think where we were being shown the guys hostel which seemed like a quite a huge place wid a number of rooms. Its the same building where the classrooms are located on the ground floor and the library on the 1st floor. The library seemed quite huge from outside although was locked for obvious reasons. We were eager to chk out the classroom but cudnt do so cuz it was occupied for some reason. A major plus of the whole visit got to chk out the girls hostel due to the company I had .. but was told while being led down from the building that this place is a strict no no for the guys. The hostel rooms were pretty decent. The entire campus on the whole has a very relaxed feel abt it very welcoming.
Oh and forgot to mention Genies the joint outside the college .... infact i noticed this place even b4 the i caught sight of the college while on the bus ..... well c'mon its the one thing i ve heard most abt even more than the college mess.
Well all of this took us abt an hour after which we decided to leave with one thing in mind that we are coming back very soon. I was convinced that I had made the rite choice and the ghost of doubts laid to rest once n for all
Also, one thing I realized why all the fuss abt bikes being a necessity over there . Dnt think the pvt buses can be trusted to take u everywhere.
A very smooth ride up until now, the Indian Railwys let us down . The train was abt 5 hrs late . So reached Mumbai at arnd 11 am on Sunday morning.
Well mission accomplished only one thing prob I felt that I missed out on was that I was hopin to meet up wid a few guys on campus Although did happen to see a few ppl arnd the college did not accost em . But then theres a lot thats been happenin on PG that tells me that a MUMBAI Meet is arnd the corner ..so Passa et all do inform abt me abt ne meet in the offing.
Well gues I have pakaoed u guys enuf for now . So chao

bad news 4 all 2nd list people.:( ...calld gim 2day.talkd 2 jenny n a sir prbly adm cordntr.he said thy hav givn more thn 120 calls in 1st list.n rslts 4 2nd list will b out only aftr 20th...now i wonder wat wil b chnce 4 makin it 4 2nd lst ppl lke me n if they r givin cals 2 mre than 120 in 1st lst wat if more dan 120 accept d cal 4m 1st list..

Bibin - Jenny doesn't know that there are a couple of students here who are working at Canada timings (mentor's there.)...so it seems to came upto my room (LH ground floor for these two months)...and left...koi baat nahi...phir aa jaana (2 mahine baad) 😃 ...
Second List people - if jenny says that more than 120 calls have been given out then it might be so...but it doesn't make much sense to me...u ppl - nothing will come out of fretting and worrying...wait for whenever she has said the results will be coming and then ask her...Best of Luck...
