According to details given in prospectus total comes out to be around 3 lakhs
(laptop not included)

Andhra Bank does give loans to students from GIM.More details will probably come along with the letters .

No GIM doesn't have any tieup with any bank for educational loan. But there is no bank in Panjim which would not offer an educational loan to the students of GIM.

My advice to the loan seekers: if you have some fundu contacts in a bank in ur hometown then use them and get a loan sanctioned from there but otherwise reach Goa a couple of days early and get your loans processed there. Andhra Bank and SBI in Panjim offered special rates for the students of GIM. Make sure that you are carrying the documents necessary to get the loan. You can find a list of documents on the websites of different banks.

The total cost of the program for us is coming to aroun 4.15 lakhs with the laptop. A lot of the cost is dependent on one's lifestyle. For example in the cost sheet provided by the institute average food bill per month is supposed to be Rs. 3000/- Now some of my batchmates stretch their food bills to 5000 and some keep it under 2500...Thus its pretty subjective.

But one can apply for a loan of Rs. 4.15 Lakh (Detailed statement of costs should reach you people in about a week's time).

EDIT: The only tieup that GIM has with any bank is limited to sharing the names and email addresses of the students who are selected. I suppose that the institute office also provides local address proof and such other documents. But beyond this, nothing else.

if u r plannin to make a trip to GIM, most of us who are doing their summers in Goa would reach there around 10th April. I will be reaching there on 2nd April.

I welcome all those who have been selected to GIM. You guys will have an amazing time i promise but that doesnt mean that you will have an easy time. Life will be tough and will not be a party for the two years. I will be creating a yahoo group for your batch and we can interact more formally there. Yahoo and gtalk will be your lifelines at GIM. So those who dont have yahoo or gmail accounts please go ahead and create one.
