GIM Batch of 2006-08

My dear batchmates ,
This is a very tired aspire typing ..:(

Had gone to the delhi pg cricket meet , met chaitanya there , Had a great timr playing there , but for the sun...
loads of activity on the forum , new new faces coming up ...
@sumitro jabse we have been talking of hitchhiking on the indica , passa dikhai nahin de raha lol :wow:
@andy_jaan - pad le be , post wost bad mein karna
@nanak - ok dear , will call u nanak
@khushboo - me and chaitnya are thinking of a meet for delhi and ncr ppl ...chip in

@saurav, srini, sushant , great to c u all back again ..

My whole body is aching , ws playing cricket after 7 long years , and chaitanya was enjoying my plight

Hi Guyz,

We could plan to have a small get together in bangalore too, was thinking about it.Had talked to Amit, who is doing his summers here.He would also join us.
So guyz let me know who all are in bangalore, we could plan to meet soon.

hi buddy,

tata indica is cool man. kab jaanewala hai bata dena, will hitch a free ride with u all the way to gim, kharcha bach jaega . neways me gonna bring along my baby (bike) too. had noticed many bikes at the institute when me and peace were down there for the interviews. there are buses from gim to panjim, etc but these stop at around 8 in the evening so that its vey difficult to go any place after that time if u don't have ur own vehicle. so bike is a must cos the day begins after sunset, wot say puys ??

same with me, i have also resigned from my job gonna be relieved in june. have kept 18th as relieving as i was under the impression that term starts from 26th ( hadn't received the letter or looked up posts when i put in my papers

). however that option is flexible so can easily get it preponed. thinking of 10th june now. thoda aish maar lenge b4 term starts

hi aspire,

passa is back, ab koi tension nai

. me n peace had been to andhra bank today, they have indeed got a special rate for gim students at 8.5 % so i think this is the best one. the guy there said that you can pay the first installment of 30k by yourself and we will re-imburse it later since it will take some time to sanction the entire amount. am in a bit of hurry so peace will post more elaborate details.

btw cricket vagere aaram se khelo yaar, did you directly bowl 7 overs at a stretch after 7 yrs

hi puys....
as sumitro has already mentioned that we had been to andhra bank tday....hence, here r some of the key features of our conversation with the Loan mgr (LM):
- 1st and foremost, GIM and Andhra Bnk (AB) does have an MoU....and accordingly AB offers spl rates...and currently it stands @ 8.5% (no idea abt sbi though)

- u need to submit the necessary documents (viz. school LC, deg certi, GIM letter, etc)

- u do need a guaranteer....and the nearest one cud be ur dad/mom (it has to be an earning member of ur family....cousins also allowed....but do check these intricate details personally)

- u also need to open a Savings (SB) a/c....this is only if u r availing ur loan from AB or for that matter any bank where u dont have a SB a/c....its just one of their policies....

- as we'd been to the bank tday (read late), so he (LM) advised us to pay the 1st instalment on our own....which shall be reimbursed when we get our 2nd instalment DD (technically 1st from the bank)....

- laptop costs wud also be taken care of by the bank (infact u need to specifically mention that by writing an application letter for the same)
the reimbursement of the laptop wud be done in subsequent dd's which wud follow....

- AB branch in any city/town can be approached for the loan....the MoU is valid across india.

- getting loan thru wud take 10 days (it actually varies from LM to LM....in our case, it is 10 days)....so its better, those guys looking fwd to payment of fees via loan route shall start the bank hunt...as any bank takes a mini of 4 to 5 days....not just AB.

Hi Sonal U can count me for the meet but let's have it on an weekend.. And by the way I am planning to take the Yeswantpur Vasco exp. Please let me know about ur plan. I think since we will carry a lot of luggage it will be a great idea to travel together.
This train leaves from bangalore on sun and tue so we can either start on Jun 18th or Jun 20th..

very nicely put down to detail. yes puys andhra bank seems a very good option to avail loan for gim. if anybody approaches sbi for loan then please post those details accordingly, i think there was a strike in sbi today so we did not go there.

@abhishekraj : why don't u ask the director of gim himself, i think is best suited to answer ur query

btw kindly refrain from posting such mindless queries and please read the forum rules once, you aren't supposed to post private numbers, u can p.m. the seniors or one of us though i dunno wat sort of a response u will get for such queries

hey guys....count me in in the biker's club......and since people will be driving there jharkhand and mp no plates....i guess my mah no plate wont be a problem.......hey by the way i would like to ask about the sports & recreation facilities at GIM....apart from the gym which games can one play in GIM..........is there any football or cricket ground......or maybe a swimming pool......
