Got through GIM i have also converted SITM i am not sure where i should land up. Please give me some reasons for not joining SITM especially when there is boom time in Telecom.

I have visited the campus personally, being in Goa went there 1st to purchase the application form and 2nd for my GD pi, Lovely campus very unique in its own way, facing the mandovi river line. Ribander is just abt 15 mins from the capital city Panjim jus the place to be on your offday breaks after a hectic course rigour. Didnt get to c the hostels though and wondering if Laptops are mandatory. Also would GIM help in procurring them. Gary & Shashi could help us with lots more info.
Didnt get the letter as yet when approx would the course commence.

I am from chennai. Got through in GIM too. At the moment not doing much, just riding around. Planning to ride down to Goa after 20th of this month to check out the college. Not received the official letter by mail yet. Will love to meet up with others from chennai.

I think next saturday at Eat Street, Necklace road would be fine. Time somewhere in the late evening.

How many of us are willing to come? Plz respond. This will help us make a head count.

most of you have loads of work ex!!! makes me feel all young and stupid :whatthat:
anyway, i'm sanjana from blore..did by Bsc..worked for 4 months..but tahts call centre exp..
i also got a call from sdm in mysore and i've paid up 75k there..i'll be losing about 60k if i take up gim..so i'd like to know what guys feel..i'm sort of leaning towards GIM
i'll probably be checking out the campus next week..
when are we supposed to receive the legally binding letter?!


honestly,before u mentioned it here i had never heard of SDM..i then checked up their website and they say that their average placement sal is 2.6L..i guess ur decision is made right there..GIM also seems to hv better infra and faculty...welcome to the gang,sanjana!

thats wat i was told wen i called GIM when the results were out....

I will get a laptop and the best one on offer. They have three models to offer to students last year. 61k, 62k and 65k.

I can't wait for the letter with "legal validity" to arrive. That will be the last nail in the coffin. So happy that this 10months long ardous journey has come to an end. A beautiful end.

Does GIM require us to have laptops?? I thought they didnt, though i do know they helped students last year to procure them!!

There are no single occupancy rooms left. All have been taken by the seniors. Got his info from Gary aka Spiderman.

HI Guyz

Jus recieved the GIM letter . Its a Letter giving full details of the registeration process, a Medical Certifcate form to be filled in by your doctor and a leaflet containing the fee structure. You guyz may recieve it soon so cheers till then. I am off to fill the form and pay the required fees. See u soon guyz

can u please let us know what is the amount to be paid initially and what is the last date to do the same? Also, what other stuff do we need to do? it would be great if u can share this info as it would help working guys like me to plan out everything.

oh ok but there are going to be just 2 guys per room right?? i mean they arent gonna stuff 3-4 guys in a room because of shortage of rooms or something? and u must have personally seen the hostels when u went to gim for the int, so how are the hostels? are they good?



Hey nithin,
there are double and triple occupancy rooms left. Even many seniors take Double-triple occupancy rooms(as there are hardly 6-7 sinbgle occupancy rooms). The triple occupancy rooms are larger than double occupancy rooms which are larger than single occupancy room.No one is going to be cramped in a room with 3-4 other guys , so dun worry!!!

the hostel fees are according to room, the triple occupancy guys pay least and the single occupancy guys ay most , although the diffeence is not very high.
