Guys about cellphones, my friend who works in Goa says that BPL and Idea Are the best in goa. Forget BSNL, it truly sucks, but is excellent for making cheap calls.
Hey guys, is any one taking his bike to GIM? I have a Pulsar 180DTSi which I plan to take from Kolkata. I had initially planned to take it along with me by train (luggage van), but problem is there is no direct train between Kolkata and Goa. That means I would have to take it to Mumbai, unload it & keep it at the locker room at VT, load it on the Goa train the same evening and then set off. The hassle and costs (including palm-greasing) would simply not be worth it. Anyone got any better ideas? On a different note, it would be great to have a small biker group at the institute. Goa is prime two-wheel territory, and occassional breaks between tough schedules would be perfect for a small outing. Any takers?
I am in a big trouble.....i am in second merit list of gim and have submitted the draft of 25000 .....no one in gim is picking up the phone and there is no communication about the results ...mean while I have to submit my first installment of fees in international institute of information technology pune for MS programme.....i have no other calls ,,,now i am in big dilemma what to do...i definitely want gim but if i am not able to get through it i will lose i2it as well....please help me ....could you please tell me which person to contact in gim so as to get an exact idea of announcement of results........plzzzzz help...or if you have any idea about the date of declaration of result.....gim has not even declared the position in second merit list so I have no clues......very disappointing situation for me....

plenty of space to keep ur bikes and yes,they are allowed. It is advisable to bring a bike if u have one as u will need them for projects and all. For a batch of 100, if there will be a total of 20-25 bikes,it wud be good as u will need them for grp projects...
this is because of the recent cyclone which left the telephone lines dead. I suggest you mail them reg. this and get details. I also suggest u call them tommorrow as tel. lines shd be repaired by now.
Hi Gang 2005- 07 Me jus got the official letter confirming my admission, along with a copy of fee structure which could be produced before a bank incase 1 plans to avail a loan and Receipt of the Rs.51600 (ie: Rs.30000 + Rs.21600) which I paid as stipulated by the first letter. The letter contains details abt the laptop (not specs, not price) givin us a brief idea of wht GIM is trying to negotiate with PC dealers. Letter also gives names of contact ppl for the hostel. Guyz u also need to get along with u navy blue blazer, light grey trousers, white full sleeves shirt with a red tie along with formal shoes.
hi folks still hvin hangover..we four(anish,anil,rajiv n neha) finally had a meetin at pvr gurgaon...ws lots of ifs n buts but finally it happened was lots of fun...we went 2 barista n then mc donalds as well..must say was fun...fundu crowd , kool anil..crazy neha n relaxed rajiv...all were fun rest of the guys moneet n all we ll meet soon nxt week..no probs... so lets rock n roll now...dyin 2 meet all of u here moneet,abhishek,udit n all so lets plan abt nxt week may b tho I some how managed 2 b there at the meetin ..tho i m in a fix now ..still njoyed those 4 hrs. hey leofastest....i hv been trying too ,to call the kings at gim office...n as sumone explained...the phone lines cud be spoilt...cz they first told me to call on 18th, then 21st .....but since 21st no one picks up the lovely phone...
nw i called a gim senior ...who ws in the second list last year...she said that even at her adm time...there ws a delay of 2 to 3 weeks ...before she got her confirmed result....only hitch this time is that , a greater than expectd percentage of folks frm the first list hv taken admn already....this cud be cz ximb results are awaited i gues...or watevr...loads of ppl are playing it safe
i m buggd cz...i hv paid 25000 unconditionally..n yet cant confirm whether they hv got it... secondly my merit is not known...
so there is something slacked ....

To all girls in the junior batch, You all will be asked to decide on an "uniform" saree, so it would be better to decide among yourselves the colour and border, so that when you land in GIM, there is not too much of a delay in deciding among those factors. All the best! - Shubhs
