Dude, Gears of War is not a First-person-shooter, Its a third person shooter.. Completely different from FPS games. And regarding Battlefield 3, yes it is going to be more awesome than the COD MW3 , but you wont see COD4(Modern Warfare 1)'s massive crowd migrating anytime soon.

Ya,COD is the biggest franchisee,no doubt,but its more inclined towards casual gamers.WE,the hardcore ones hardly enjoy COD,isnt it?? on the contrary battlefield 3 focuses more on hardcore gamers.
And since there are more casual gamers than hardcore the junta of COD is bound to stick to COD franchise and hence the innumerable servers assigned to it.

Haha. ya COD is for Noobs alright.... It has been going downhill for a while now. All the dumb linear gameplays are getting boring... BF Bad Company 2 was great compared to Black Ops.. Lets see how things turn out.....

Battlefield 3 has sold around 13 million copies worldwide (Pre-ordered)...It is already the Biggest FPS game so far if we go by units sold

BF3 beat the pre order record of Black ops?? Thats sweet.. No racing simulation game can match the graphics of the DIRT series.. Awesome visuals! But the difficulty is really high when compared with other racers..

Both of them works on the next gen engines...Crysis 2 on Cryengine's latest avatar and BF3 on Frostbite 2.Basically both are same...so,visuals are bound to be of the same standard...Personally i feel Frostbite 2 works Better...In fact way better in terms of gameplay elements and clearity...:D

Hey does windows xp sp3 get installed/patched over sp2(and not affect the installed programs) or I ll need to format the windows? I cant use the windows update for obvious reasons... 😛
windows 'xlive' doesnt work on sp2 and many new games increasing require it. Virtua tennis 4 in particular.
Also, if the comp needs to be formatted anyways, which version of windows would be advisable? My specs - Inter core 2 duo 2.93ghz... e7500(or something similar) 4 gb ram but an nvidia 9500 1 gb graphic card. Would Dirt 3 work?(It also require xlive right?) I am keen on a racing game. Just started with Football Manager all over again and simultaneously playing Bastion. Its a pretty decent game.

Though u need to upgrade ur GFX card,but i think it would do just fine...
personally,i have played DIRT 3 and its the best Racing game till date..Gymkhana is an added feature and an exclusive one too
.Just install WINDOWS 7 Ultimate/professional EDN. that would do i guess.. U can create a restore point...Ur saved data wont get wiped off...dont worry!!!

He puys.. I'm planning on buying a laptop (Don't want a PC) for gaming. Any suggestions? My budget is arounf 50-60k. I wanna be able play BF3, Metro 2033, Batman Arkham city on it. I have shortlisted Dell XPS 15 with 1 GB Nvidia 525M card, i5 inter 2.4 Ghz processor, 6 Gb RAM.. It is costing me 56k. But I have read somewhere that it may not be able to run BF3 and especially Metro 2033 even in Medium settings. Any ideas and suggestions?
