@MHV hi no updates as such. Yes I have spoken to guys from the previous batch you can find them on PG as well. To be honest I have very busy at work and with IIM-B prep so didnt think too much about ISB. I believe there are people who are admitted without an interview however, that is an exceptional case and most people are interviewed.
@gajamani just got a mail from the FPM student council if you could for thank them on my behalf I would be grateful really well organised and shows that IIM - B is top notch really appreciate the effort

As far as I understand these are the documents that are to be brought on the day of RAT @IIM-B.
1. RAT email printout.
2. ID proof.
3. All marksheets and degree certificates in original.
4. How many xerox copies of each are needed? (Seniors kindly help in this regard)
5. Photographs (How many?)
6. Proof of standardized test scores (CAT/GRE/GMAT/UGC NET/GATE etc.).
Kindly add anything that I might have missed...
@AAOne According to the rule book of IIMB, FPMs can not pursue any other economic activity (which involves remuneration of any kind) is not allowed. Even people who have gone on to conduct one-off trainings at corporates, or to other educational institutes to conduct guest lectures, have been asked to desist from doing so.
@horsehead Bring 2 email print outs of the letter because you need one for the hostel office for availing accommodation and one for entering into the RAT hall. The other documents are fine.
@gajamani Until last year the document verification (formal on the originals) was done only on the date of joining FPM (after selection) and hence we didnt get any verification or photo submission during the interview process. However if the instruction letter says you have to carry them then kindly do so.

I think that is 25k extra for a semester and not a month. Pls check. I am not sure.
Also I had once spoken to a prof who did his FPM from one of the top IIMs regarding the stipend issue. The prof said that many FP students teach in local business schools to get additional income. This was some 2 years back. Maybe things have changed now.

btech : applied electronics and instrumentation
however ther has been a slight issue with my btech ( from college of engineering trivandrum) ..even though i was upposed to pass by 2010 i will be clearing it this year coz of back logs..
but throughout my btech i have consistently scored above 95 in engg math... i teach quant in ims... and even though i knw it is a long shot i would like to do fpm in quantitative techniques... it is my goal to continue in th academic field...do i stand even an inkling of a chance...pls do reply...
@Muneza hey why u need model test papers? u r already JRF qualified. Since I've qualified JRF recently, so I'm little worried. Help!
@gajamani I know of a set of IIM FP students teaching elsewhere...but none from B -- the reason could be what u mentioned out here!!
@sb29 u r correct...it's 25k per term & not month!! ...an ex-FP turned prof told me once that he was never happy with the amount disbursed as stipend :P
@Muneza There are no model papers available for RAT as far as I know. The format is similar to CAT or GMAT with sections including Quant, Verbal, RC, DI, and Analytical. So prepare from a standard GMAT prep book. I used R S Agarwal aptitude books and it was sufficient.

@kartik_ yes, you are right !. The document verification stage comes only after selection. So there is no requirement to carry original documents at interview stage. Just follow what the letter says !!!...
I had kept xeroxes of my major academic qualifications, and originals of other certificates which I mentioned in SOP and 2 spare photos. But none of this was referred / used during my interviews !!. What you definitely need is 2 print outs of the IIMB letter to you !.
