2008/09 - Chelsea defeated by Barca in semi final
2009/10 - Chelsea defeated by Inter in 1st knockout.

in CL teams n plyer list is submitted in Jan n u can change 1 player from August submitted list n u can play a player who has already played in CL for any other team or whose name was not given in the original list in August...
N Chelsea gave Torres name so Luiz will not be playing in CL tie against UTD as he played in group stages for Benfica..
n if we cn get Vidic fit for that away tie at Bridge...
Chelsea r beatable at Bridge.. so dream on blues for 2007-08 final Revenge.. its long way off..

Well my team is out. But I can't help but speculate because I love english football. Why on earth were the teams from the EPL drawn this way!
Chelsea and manutd can't both reach the semifinals. And spurs got a team that they can't win against. Don't get me wrong, even as an arsenal fan I respect spurs for what they hav done. Its just that UEFA success depends on the matchups you get in the knockouts. Spurs can win against traditional italian opposition regularly. But a counter attacking team line madrid, who have 6 players who can score any given night can't be handled by spurs defense. Spurs would have beaten shakhtar or shalke or even inter! But they got their worst matchup!
Whereas inter and the spanish teams got easy draws. Sad for english football. I guess uefa didn't want a repeat of when arsenal manutd and chelsea were all in the semis.

Tottenham along with Real Madrid are the highest scorers in the Champions League.
But while Real Madrid have conceded only 3 , Tottenham have conceded 11.
Seems UEFA has some problem with EPL. But putting Tottenham in the same half as Real Madrid and Barcelona and by putting a Manu Vs Chelsea match , it seems that surely two teams from different countries will play in the finals.
Every one seems to have written off Shakhtar D. I think it ll be a v v tough tie for barcelona. they have struggled against sides like these. and they have an incredible home unbeaten run. shakhtar will prove very tough opponents and for me are the dark horses in this years ecc:lookround:

I dnt knw if its true but i heard Ray wilkins n Jamie Redknapp say on sky sports after the draw that shakhter hav defeated Barca at nou camp 3-2 in group stage in 2009.. so i dnt count them out.. dey r dark horses who can surprise them.. i still remember Rubin Kazans gud record n gritty performance against Barca in group stages this n last year.. so anything can happn..
Its Inter who has got the most easiest of games than others..
