Are u serious buddy? Not as brilliant as Lampard? Lampard is an average over hyped English player. Fabregas at the age of 21-22 was way better than Lampard has ever been in his entire career.

Somebody said that statistics is like a bikini.What they reveal is important but what they conceal is vital. Those 10 goals per season stat is definitely good for a midfielder but many of those come from penalties and a few tap-in. I judge midfielders on the basis of their impact on the field and how they control the game. In this regard players like Pirlo,xavi,Gerrard,Cesc,mata,Silva,Iniesta can be termed as brilliant players. if statistic was the sole parameter,then Walcott has been better than Bale in that regard. But no sane person would even bother to compare Walcott and Bale. Simply because Bale is a superb player whereas Walcott is just a speed merchant and pretty average player.
P.S: Saying all this despite being a Gooner.

He is the only midfielder in the premier league who has scored more than 10 goals every season and to score abt 200 premier league goals in premier league, that too from midfield says it all.... how many strikers have done that !!!

. Well it simply doesn't matter whether you think he is good enough or not. And I wont even defend him as his stats says it all, you believe it or not that is up to you. But yes I would like to say one thing, if you think that taking penalty is a piece of shit then why don't everybody takes it?? why players are not even close to him?? @abhibeloved
Bro! Dont get angry. I am not on this forum to argue with fellow posters or to demean any player. You are right in saying that it does not matter how good or bad I think Lampard is. You are entitled to like and appreciate any player.
As far as taking penalty is concerned,every team has one specialist penalty taker. In Chelsea,Lampard is the man. There is nothing wrong in taking penalties and increasing goal count. My only point was that in terms of impact,he lags behind many other midfielders. Drunk or not, I strongly believe that and I know many others do as well. As I said,we should agree to disagree without holding any grudges. Stay calm and happy. You do not need to be aggressive. Lampard will remain a superstar in England and I will continue to be a nobody in Bangalore. So stay cool.
