Football Club -- Part Deux

@supreetkiniIt is not only about BM's player being injured. Understand the magnitude of the task. Bayern have scored 3 away goals. That is huge. We have to score 3 and be solid in the back. I do not know how can we score 3 goals against a team who are defensively the best this season across Europe. There are more chances of Giroud making those "just missed it" expression 30 times than we actually scoring 3 goals. And in the back we have a GK who one day looks like a world beater and on another day Almunia Mark II. God knows which Sczesney will play on wednesday night.
true. Our defence is so unpredictable. But still I believe we will not go out without a fight. Result could be 2-1 atleast if not 3-0 or 3-1!! Giroud just need to be confident and Theo needs to be a bit less selfish.
@conquerer1 I know dude! We have very little chance! Being optimistic never hurt anyone!
I thought the same last season against Milan, before we stuffed them up their arse in the 2nd leg and almost did the impossible! Never hurts to dream! But not keeping my hopes too high!

On the other hand, rumours that Wilshere and Podolski are doubtful. Also Sagna!Gibbs is supposed to be fit though!
Wilshere is not just doubtful. He's almost out it seems. Podolski would make it. Sagna again doubt and Gibbs in Podolski list
@Kathiravan.J No official news about Wilshere anywhere though. Also rumors that Szczesny could be dropped!

May GOD be with you.. Hope Arsenal wins 😁 !!

If not szczesny then who?? Wilshere has not completely recovered from the injury received during Tottenham match. I dont think Arsene would risk him like any other player.
@Kathiravan.J There's been a 10 day gap. Hope he has sufficiently recovered.
If not Szczesny, then Mannone or Damian Martinez! (Loved to see him fly around like a helicopter and miss everything in the 7-5 Reading game! ) or Brek Shea, 19 year old Islington born Academy goalie! or 17 year old Macedonian hotshot Dejan Iliev!

Bro, You sighted the example of Milan. We were playing at home and Milan side was not as good as this Bayern side.

This time we are playing the second leg in Munich and this current arsenal side is even worse that the squad last year. Rosicky was the reason we turned around our season last time but Le Senile AW has got such a horrible obsession with playing Ramsey that I have become pessimistic about Arsenal. We never win against good teams when that shit of a player Ramsey plays.

I still think a midfield of JW,Cazorla and Rosicky can really give BM a run for their money but AW is never gonna do that. Ramsey will be played no matter what.

I know there are so many reserve players. But then why is that we have always been playing only with reserve keepers (Including szczesny)?? Really no keeper is willing to come here? I think we can trust Damien compared to Szczesny as there will be motivation atleast...
@conquerer1 I agree. Ramsey doesn't look like Arsenal product at all. No fixed position and below average performance in whatever position he takes. Ox is much better compared to Ramsey.
@conquerer1 Quite clearly, you have watched very little of Ramsey this season.
He has been brilliant in the deep lying position. And he has been played out of position all the time. Left wing, right back, right wing, everywhere! You can't play a central midfielder there and expect him to be excellent.
I am a Ramsey fan. He never shies away. Honest player who gives it his all, despite that horrendous injury. He was brilliant before that. He just needs a shot of confidence. He has a big future at the club! :)

As I said, I am just being optimistic. I cannot see us score 2, forget 3 goals past Bayern. Just going to sit back and enjoy the match, and hope some miracle occurs!
@Kathiravan.J Ox? He has been dreadful this season. Seems like all the first year hype has gotten to him. He has been absolute crap. Do you guys really watch Arsenal games? :wow:
@Kathiravan.J Again, you can't compare Ox to Ramsey. They are different kinds of players who play in different positions. Ox is a winger cum second striker. Ramsey is a central midfielder. You can't compare them!
By form, Ramsey has clearly been better when he has played in a deeper position alongside Arteta.

I don't agree with you. Ramsey has not been the same player after returning from injury. I do agree that he has played in lot of positions this season and this only proves that he has not been able to make a mark despite several opportunities.

@supreetkini

I do not watch Arsenal games? Are u kidding me?

U urself admitted that u like Ramsey bcoz he never shies away.FFS. Just having attitude is not enough. U got to have ability as well. He has been brilliant? hahhaa. He is one of the slowest player I have ever seen. Takes 5 min to make a pass and that is too a back pass. Have seen on numerous occasions an arsenal counter attack resulting into nothing bcoz Ramsey slows evrything down. He was good in that deep lying position,I got to admit that. But common.he played 2 games there. Then Le Senile came out and proclaimed that deep luing position is his natural position and in the next game he was again played on the wings.

And really he is the future? May be he could become a good player one day but our present is getting ruined bcoz of these so called "development of players". Ramsey should be sent out on loan. He lacks confidence. We have been hearing these future stars thing for 8 yrs now. What happens to these future stars?

Cesc: playing at Barca

Nasri: playing at City

RVP: Playing at Man u.

Too tired of these future plans now.

Just ask yourself: can u see Ramsey in any of the top teams in Europe?

Ramsey has been much better this season, no doubt in that. Definitely, it's going to be a tough task beating the current BM side with the likes of Shaqiri and Mandzukic providing the quality in depth.
Also, twitter's rife with speculations that Wilshere's in Dubai receiving treatment for his ankle injury and is more of a precautionary nature. So, he's definitely out today.
Hope Jenko gets a chance at RB and Sagna at CB, with the hope that we get to see Gibbs back at LB.
We sure have a chance today. COYG!

So true he has a habit of holding on the ball and lacks creativity which is so much required in midfield.
Hope he does not play against bayern.

I agree Ox has not lived up to the expectation. But that is what happens when u triple a kid's wages after 2 good performances. AW is destroyibg the club. Spends 15m pound and gives 45k wages a week to OX but can not spend 23m for Mata. The wage structure is the main reason why we are not able to retain our top players and offload shits like Squillachi, denilson.

And who is the man behind this wage structure: Arsene Wenger.

No wonder that Ox performance has come down.He pampers kids a lot more than they should be.

@maddy0707 @conquerer1 Dude, you cannot play a player out of position and expect results.
Can you imagine Henry playing at left-back?
Look at the Sunderland game, when Ramsey played right-back. Brilliant. Against Spurs, right-back. Bale couldn't get a sniff. Even on the left-wing. He was pretty decent.

I am not saying Ramsey is an excellent player. The injury has taken its toll, plus he has played over 40 games last season. That too after being a year out. He has had to deal with the death of his mentor Gary Speed and lost Welsh captaincy in the midst of all this. You should understand he is only 22.

He is a good passer, and along with Arteta, I feel we have a good deep lying defensive formation. I can see him being a top player, in the future. If he didn't have the ability, clubs like Arsenal, ManU, Chelsea wouldn't have taken notice, when he was only 17 years old.

Speaking of young players being nurtured, would you want Walcott, Wilshere etc to be dropped? I don't think so.
@SubbuMan Game is tomorrow night :p
