Nobody is denying the fact that he is best. you misunderstood us, what we are saying is you simply can't compare him with Cole. Because both plays in a totally different style. And without any doubt Cole is best, yes he lost some pace but that because of his age and injuries. He is still give tough competition to striker.
As an Arsenal fan, I have tough time admitting he is indeed one of the best hahaha. :P
@chelseaboy now the biggest LOL would be to compare Lampard with Scholes as he plays a lot deeper role. Scholes used to be a master disguise when young making runs into the box which the next player to do best in his prime was Lampard but then Scholes started playing deep bcz his legs are old to make those runs anymore. so does Carrick he plays a more Deep lying play maker role.Lampard is still a fine squad player , the only problem is do you think Utd or any other Big club would be willing to pay more than 150-200 K a week for a player who is not gonna play every game or every week and has been in and out because of injuries at his age plus the signing on Fee , agent fees and a 3 year contract which will be worth more than 15 M pounds in wages alone for the period of contract. That is the problem and being a Chelsea fan u need to understand u need to reduce the wage bill to sign the likes of Falcao in future or else Chelsea would struggle with FFP rulings. Football is more than just what happens on pitch but the money factor is the main thing to look out to run a club.
Actually Lampard worth it, he still deserve to be paid 175K. He is a match winning player, He is a big match player. Buddy he scores for team when it is much needed. Don't underestimate him by saying this.
And don't say Utd is willing to pay or not because he is never gonna join that club trust me :).
@abhibeloved Its still my opinion but last not the least i will say Chelsea are in a transitional stage and have almost rebuilded their squad except for few positions. The likes of Lampard and Cole if they love the club need to take a pay cut for a next contract or accept rolling 1 year contracts..
And if Chelsea are letting them go because they arent i think they are making the most sensible decision financially. Roman maybe eccentric at times but Chelsea in my every opinion are doing the most sensible thing to sustain as a Club to comply with FFP rulings in near future.
as for Baines discussion i will add that Baines offer more than Cole as a LB as he is very apt in taking left footed free kicks and his crossing is as good as a LW in a good side and he plays more as a Wingback than a Fullback and Football has changed and Wingbacks are more of a trend to follow
P.S. Seeing Chelsea front 4 Baines would fit in very well... I can see Chelsea , Man Utd fighting it out for transfer of Baines in Summer..
@abhibeloved Its still my opinion but last not the least i will say Chelsea are in a =
Well in the end I would say I respect your opinion. Perhaps what Roman is doing is right for club, but sometimes you have to keep your legend because they are our pride. And football is all about PRIDE, isn't it? But I guess Roman is planning something else for Chelsea and that might be good.
But we all love Lampard and Cole. They'll be Chelsea forever and Immortals in our club. :)
Great start to the new year for the Manchester Clubs. Comprehensive wins.Bad news for city - An addition to the injury list and this time it is the dynamic Aguero!Hope he is fit b4 the match with Arsenel!

I'm a City fan, and i think that its a good thing that Aguero is injured...because Tevez and Dzeko seem to be in better with respect to the goals to shots ratio...he misses far too many chances...more than cristiano ronaldo, messi and falcao combined!!!
yep. we lost the club's outstanding attacker, Aguero, to what appeared to be a hamstring injury. That took off the shine from today's win. And no Nasri fcors for the arsenel match.
Well.. I feel he changes the dynamics of the game. Keeps it moving at a pace. And yeah.. today he did miss out but that I would say he was unfortunate to hit the pole.

Man i think augero n toure are ur main man, they make the goals for u all... i think u will find it hard without them in jan...
Add to that .. I am a big big fan of the creative mind David Silva. I feel he creates 3-5 chances a game and today I saw him in some discomfort as well.
And Yaya Toure is holding the city squad together. His loss will be a big big blow for us.

If you ask me, I would say that the most influential players in the team are toure, tevez, Kompany and lescott...the defence is leaking and the aerial superiority has been lacking because lescott is on the bench...he scored 7 goals last season with 6 from corners... I wouldn't put him on the bench...would rather play him than nastasic...
@tauheed6219 I heard that mancini is putting lescott on transfer list.... Tevez is a shame for me,how can u deny to come on the pitch... he only stayed at city coz no one else offered him equal wages to that of city!!!
and for some reason - Mancini has tagged Dzeko as super sub. It does make a difference when either of Tevez or Dzeko start. Still not able to come over the Derby shock when Mario started and the better players were benched.

Compared to last season, Silva appears a bit off-guard..the most under estimated player would be Gareth Barry...he does all the dirty work and strives hard in the midfield...and its because of players like him that teams can play with a lot of freedom and space which he creates by blocking out space and then combining well with the defence...
