Football Club -- Part Deux

oho.. the game between Fulham and Hammers started?

@carrotilla
buddy, will catch up later.. gonna watch the game..

The problem with that position is that either Carrick or Anderson has to play in that position. And, I do not have high opinion about either of them. And when Carrick plays defence, I would be holding my heart and seeing the match.

I feel that we would leave a lot of gaps if we play all three of cleverly-Kagawa-anderson.. Godly if it clicks though... So Fergie will play Scholes with any other two.... And as long as Scholes is there... I am ok..
@chelsea1712 : haha.. true.. I think he will shine for West Ham because he is too good for a club like West ham and not so good for any of the top clubs.

@deepu sir... Kuch poll banao na... higest goal scorer ya fantasy points jaisa

not sure which poll to create. please take the honor in creating one :mg:

spot on bro.... both modric and VDV were better players than dembele and demsey respectively, but spurs have signed well and may well nick that 4th champions league spot if AVB manages his team selection well... the way's he started i feel sorry for spurs, he really has carried forward what he did at chelsea but still early days...
@carrotilla

welcome to pagalguy football mate..... Me too like you a "red devil" for life...

agree with your opinion on carrick and anderson, although the former is still one of the best midfielders of the premier league he comes up short when up against physical players like chiek tiote or yaya toure.... anderson is not fit enough to play for Utd. He is unfit, overweight and what not, he's probably the luckiest player on the planet, i think even paul pogba is better then him...
like you i too hope that Utd signs moutinho... maybe not january but next summer to replace scholes... but i am excited abt the kagawa/cleverly partnership and looking forward to the season...

p.s.... my forecast abt a certain Eden hazard is already way of the mark, he seems the real deal already, with age he will only get better and kudos to chelsea, they have got a real gem in their hands
@DibyaDreams
Yes looking forward to Cleverly, Kagawa partnership. Another partnership I am looking forward to that of Valencia and Rafael. Awesome and deadly duo. They almost know what the other is doing. Valencia was the difference I felt from our first and second match. He brought more balance into the team going forward. And, my God, Rafael is that perfect Brazial, tiny, little, fast, aggressive attitude guy. And if it clicks, there is no stopping us from the right side.

Another thing I felt was that it would take time for Chelsea to click as a team with several new players. But Di Matteo is doing the right thing(hate to say it) by playing senior players like Lampard and Terry. And they are making the difference quite clearly.

There is a thing that I have noticed about AVB.. though no doubt a great tactician , he is not quite comfortable in managing senior players and tries to impose his rule on the squad quite early itself. Not sure if this is due to the fact that he is of the same age group of some of the senior players. He tried to impose his rule on the notorious Chelsea squad and tried to boot out some of the senior players like Lampard which well didnt work out quite well for him .. has tried the same at Spurs by letting go of VDV and also putting Parker on the market (imo their best player last season).

Hoping that he improves this aspect of his personality or else he might be booted out of Spurs too which would be sad to see

I have a feeling that the current QPR line up is gonna be a very tough team to play against. All they had was a week to get to know each other and train and still their playing style was worth watching. They gave too much respect to their opponents initially. Else they would have had a result at Eastlands..oops Ethihad
And Fabio looks a better wing back than Rafael. Fabio seems to know what his basic duty is.. To defend .. no offense to Rafael..

Berba leading the line against Hammers was heartening to see. the guy had some tough times at Old Trafford. Hope he adds some pace to his game play

And just mentioning, it was Robert Green between the poles. From the next game, it will be the mighty Julio Cesar. QPR's desire to buy big must be applauded. I would love to see Ji Sung Park lead it to great heights.

@deepu - Aaj Khush toh bahut hoge tum! 😞

3 clean sheets in first 3 games. first time since 1924 😁 . Steve bould is clearly doing something there 😁 .

a great game from us. not dominant through out but we were excellent on counters. Diaby dominated the mid-field. just hope he stays fit all season 😁 . great game from podolski and cazorla. giroud needs some time.

impressed by raheem sterling.

:banghead:
Reina has been disappointing, so is Enrique. Enrique hardly contributes anything for the side. All he does is pass it back to Agger. I don't have any hopes from Borini either. I understand, should be patient with him, considering he's new to the side, but still feel we would have done better with Carroll.
Reina Enrique needs to sit out for the next game. You perform bad, you'r out. As simple as that. PLay the youngsters, flanno, robinson, Adam morgan...heck, they would show the seniors how to atleast try to win a game :|

Phew... That was close! But kept believing United will pull it off and they did. Van Persie went from a hero to villain with that penalty. but, did himself good with 2 Goals in 3 minutes. Otherwise the next two weeks would have been horrible for him. Was watching on guardian at the end as the dish wasn't working due to heavy rain here. Missed the climax. Anyways "great match for the watchers. Not so great for the fans."

My thoughts on the game.
Van Persie is prized possession. Needs to be used well.
Welcome to the premier league, Kagawa. Everyone plays a physical game here.
Plz Plz Plz fall back, Mr. Rafael.
Lambert might score 15 goals atleast (looks a very solid player)
Well, Carrick can be our defensive mid this season if he continues to play like this.

What say Mr. @vinmohcetvmklm :D

ahem... @carrotilla
my apologies for the late reply..
Van Persie seems to be a bit over confident at the moment.. and that missed penalty was a shocker, to be honest..
nevertheless, its the never say die that we are known for..
I think I need to re-evaluate my Fantasy League priorities now

To be honest, Southampton committed the same mistake as QPR committed against Citizens yday. giving ur opponent more respect than they deserve.
Rafaels overlapping is exciting, but almost all the time, the Saints attacked through that channel of space left by Rafaels overlaps. Valencia had to track back and needless to say our CBs were stretched.
Carrick was way below par. He is unsure of himself; takes a lot of time on the ball and goes into a shell if Scholes isnt playing. I dont fancy us keeping many clean sheets if he becomes are Def Mid
Evra was shaky.. but better than last season ( and thank goodness for that )
Lambert is good. I hv been following him during the Championships last season ( and thats why he is in my FPL team )
another player to watch out for is Adam Lallana. good player..

I am not United fan .. But this was one of the incredible game scripted perfectly for Sir Alex 1000th match ..

Well done Van Persie .. Love you .. Would have been happy if you had showed the same class couple of months back in Oranje Jersey

@naga25french said: I must confess two of my favourite sports person disappointed me this weekend .. Stevie definitely needs to raise his game . 3/3 for him in terms of bad pass resulting in a goal this season .
Who is the second person, @naga25french sir?

Just one thing to say after today's game...

Robin Van Persie

### GOD...

Welcome to Manchester !!!!
