Football Club -- Part Deux

Is anyone ready to start betting on which Manager will be the first to go this season 😛

Betting :nono: :no:

But in my opinion, Mark Hughes will be the first one to depart. Either him, or Paul Lambert. I think Lambert lacks experience to manage a mid-table team. Though going by the recent events happening at the Midlands club, only a miracle can get them back to their glory days.

I would have said Lambert as well but I feel that going by the current form I would also say AVB 😛

@Adymos Yeah! Seriously weird! Its like a big fall from a super cool jersey to a very near gay outfit

getting rid of AVB will be very costly for Levy. he will stick with AVB for 1-2 seasons at least unless spurs are fighting relegation.

I've been playing fantasy for almost 5 years now, and it clearly reflected on my engineering grades. I do not wish to make the same mistake with my MBA preps!

Cant believe the number of matches I've missed this season. Never thought I'd have to make a decision to choose between Football and Studying......and I'd choose the latter. Sigh. Oh well, no victory without sacrifice right?

Bro, during my engg years, I made a choice which put studies on top of my football dreams.. and that was a bit too much to bear
so football, kids wife in that order ( courtesy my beloved Red Devils
@Adymos Swans 2-0 Sunderland
mate i think it would be a draw,you cant score against Black Cats easly and now when O'Neill is managing them,its always hard to get 3 against Sunderland,he is tactically strong
i think United vs Saints,Man City vs QPR n White Lilys vs Canaries ll be a goal fest
expecting more goals from these games
@LeonCorriea

Really difficult choice.... but i would rather watch at least 1 match/week to keep my sanity alive.....

@deepu

most of the players(apart from fabregas) left because they wanted a bigger pay packet, arteta actually took a lesser pay then everton just to play for arsenal... so those players are still available, wenger just got to look for them, if you take into count nasri, toure, adebayor, clichy they just wanted more money.... and they went to the club that has billions in reserve...

Mean while spurs have landed a very good signing in Dembele.... he dominated the midfield against Utd... and reports suggest AVB is after moutinho, if he does land him spurs will have one hell of a midfield....

City again have done it, 4 signings in the last day means they have again spent well past their means/earnings.... as cry baby manchini will say...he needs a 100m pounds every year to keep in the premier league, heck with that money even armando colacao of dempo would have won the premier league...

Chelsea have bidded around 15 million pounds for french striker Loic remy!!!

The weirdest move of this transfer market was Berba in my view... He was at the airport on the way to Florence and then makes a u-turn to land up in london...

I liked that the swans picked up Pablo Hernandez from Valencia...

AVB has got dempsey but they let go of VDV... I wish Harry was still around the true wheeler dealer.

crazy deadline day comes to an end... City sign 5 players on the last day 😲 are being dormant the entire window :lol: essien moves to real on loan .. lloris and dempsey signing for spurs ... looks like torres would get a hell lot of chances to prove himself after Chelsea fail to land a striker

still feel that spurs were the biggest losers in the window.. they have lost two of their best midfield players and havent been able to replace them...

Hello all.. This is Rohit... Saw this thread for the first time now even after some one year in PG. Preparing for CAT 12 but football is my favorite sport.

Favorite Club: Manchester United (Red till I die)
Favorite Player: Current best player at Man Utd... so, Wayne Rooney today and a massive Cristiano Ronaldo fan.

Scholes and Giggs are GODs of Football

Countries I like: Brazil, England. (Actually not biased or attracted to any team)

Started following football from 2003. Played Fifa 03,04,....12 and waiting for the 13.
I am good football player too. I play on the right wing and sometimes right back.
I follow guardian and dailymail (though the second one is crap).

Hope to make a lot of friends here.

After the transfer window, I seriously feel Fergie should have bid for the defensive midfielder. How long will he rely on Carrick and Anderson for that spot. I hope he will sign Moutinho atleast in December. I was praying for him not to leave Porto this time. And unless Porto are out Champs league by then, I don't think he would leave Porto. Hmmm... I really hope Fletcher comes back to full fitness...

ideal scenario would have been Dembele

see, United never filled the void created by Roy Keane... and I would have loved to see Lee Catermole in the side.. superb ball winner and excellent in making late runs.. but his reputation was tarnished by his habit of picking up cards ( mainly red).. still, would have been an ideal presence in Man Utd where full backs love to push forward..

@vinmohcetvmklm Dembele was another option but i really doubt his passing. He is strong, has great control of the ball but passing is his drawback. I wanted a Spanish or Portuguese player who could see gaps in the midfield or defense region. So, I was rooting for Martinez, Moutinho.

Btw, Can anyone start a poll or only the starter of the thread can do it?
@carrotilla
I am not sure bout that...
haven't tried it yet..

and as for Martinez, his asking price was a stumbling block..plus, his lack of exposure to the physical style in EPL would have made it difficult for Fergie to bid for him.. Moutinho is good, esp with his passing.. but I feel we need to have a player who is strong in tackles and reclaiming possession.. Fergie is trying to establish Cleverly- Anderson - Kagawa combo.. and I dont see Ando staying here beyond this season..
