RDM will really be tested this season. With the squad he's now got (not to speak of the expected signings on their way), the EPL title will be a minimum requirement. He cannot afford to do similar to his time at West Brom.

hirakms SaysBut I don't think Chelsea are gonna sell him. After Drogba left, Torres is going to be their main striker next year :cheerio:
Dunno how chelsea will cope wih so many flair players..... torres, mata, hazard, marin, hulk(hearing that he might join), strruidge....:)
Meanwhile maybe Utd are thinking about off-loading nani to sign porto wonderkid James Roriguez.....considering how inconsistent nani has been over the past season it will be goo if Utd offload him and bring someone else on his behalf...but we still a midfielder of the luka modric mould......

Arsenal are signing some quality players, just hope that RVP dosnt join Mancity....:nono:

Torres exit from Chelsea might depend on hulk signing the blues deal.If he does then el nino might not find a feature in RDM's plans and they might try to milk the transfer market for torres
This will be Torres' last chance to make a name for himself at Chelsea. He cannot afford to allow another guy (Sturridge, Hulk, Lukaku) to upstage him, else his transfer value will crash.
Torres will be sold. IF OFFERED a decent price.
Hulk is on his way in.
But if that is what Chelsea is thinking, I think its a wrong thing to do!
:nono:
Torres will become invincible with the players they have now.
SHOCKED!!!! :shocked::shocked::shocked:
Apparently Chelsea staff has broken their CL trophy!
SHOCKED!!!! :shocked::shocked::shocked:
If a club cant understand that their most prized possession should be put forth in silver casing in the trophy cabinet for everyone to admire instead of travelling through various departments then god help them!!!
barcaboy SaysIf a club cant understand that their most prized possession should be put forth in silver casing in the trophy cabinet for everyone to admire instead of travelling through various departments then god help them!!!
Well god should help those clubs who don't let their most prized possession be atleast held onto once by all members of the staff in different departments. Chelsea, as a club historically, has been very generous to people who have contributed to its success. This was the first Champions League trophy for Chelsea, and they felt that each and every person who has contributed towards making this dream come true should have his/her moment with the trophy. I think this is a very generous gesture and should be admired and followed by other clubs. Trophies are not won just by the players and manager but there is a contribution by each and every member of the club and every club should appreciate that.
Even though, sometimes some staff can get over-excited, like it happened right now, and the trophy may get damaged. But the trophy can be fixed as it was immediately done here and the people responsible were suspended. 1-2 black sheep shouldn't be the reason for stopping a noble tradition of the club. And due punishment will ensure the staff take care in the future.
I think, with Chelsea being this kind of a club where it respects and rewards even the lowest member of its staff, God will always be merciful on it. You should pray that God help some of the high-handed clubs in the world. They really need some prayers.
PS: And chelsea is not the first and only club where a trophy has been damaged and then repaired... it happens more times than you can imagine and most of the times happens in the dressing room when players are celebrating with the trophy. But sometimes it doesnt come out and sometimes it does.
Well, Chelsea are just following in Real Madrid's footsteps
(remember Last year's Copa del Ray)
first_timer SaysI think that's why one of the above mentioned clubs have stopped playing for it.
Times change saarjee! Transition in power happens in football all the time. Just like the buoyed few today were absolute mediocre say a decade back. They've risen...so will the grand daddys.
FINALLY, Shinji Kagawa is now an official Man United player!
Hopefully he will bring in the much needed vibe & creativity in the midfield, which needs a massive facelift.

Times indeed do change but unfortunately looks like liverpool's time is over. I mean cmon BRENDAN RODGERS !!! That just tells you abt liverpool's ambitions. He's a good manager no doubt, but just like Roy Hodgson he's probably not getting them above 6 or 7th. If they wanted to be a part of the big 4 again, they should've got players and persuaded the likes of pep guadiola. The signing of brendan rodgers is just going to give ppl like suarez the message that its time to move on.
Dont take it personally but i think all liverpool fans would be disappointed with brendan rodgers.
P.S. I still think sacking rafa benitez was where it all started going downhill. Despite his stubbornness he was their best chance for a premier league title.

Agree and disagree. Rafa was indeed close to mastering his way of winning titles. But one bad season and everyone got stupidly animated and he had to go. Unfortunate indeed.
Brendan Rodgers in my opinion is a very very good man to have at this stage. A major overhaul is required at Anfield. And he's kind of perfect for this situation. So signing him as manager was very very smart move. He may fail even...but logically I absolutely agree with this move. I would have been disappointed with Martinez and even Klinsmann of that Dortmund manager. They were risky moves.
And I for one am very curious to find out how Brendan Rodgers's LFC performs next year. Not expecting something dramatic..just curious.
LFC have always been a top side. They've been amongst the best teams in england...even last year. Only problem has been consistency. Look at their performances against top teams. It's only a matter of getting things right regularly (like United do...even with mediocre sides...they've won the title in the past...something for the world to learn)
So just hoping...
Olivier Giroud is now an Arsenal player. The gunners have a superb line-up of attacking players now with RVP, Giroud and Poldi. Add to that Walcott and Oxalade-Chamberlain on the wings and this team could go far this season.
We have heard and seen many a trolls on Facebook and
ed at them.
But I was blessed by Thy God of Sarcasm by one such incident!
While travelling from home to office, I heard a couple of co-passengers in my bus discussing football. Naturally I started eavesdropping as soon as I heard the word Goal.
This guy in his REEKOB sweatshirt (YES, it was REEKOB
, and it also was a SWEATSHIRT
in Mumbai, in such a hot weather!) was gyaan-feking his friend who was donning an iPhone (I couldn't confirm whether it was a REAL one or a one just like his beloved friend's REEKOB)
Sweaty-shirt lad: Dude did you just see how well that guy played for Italy! Amazing player he is! I am not able to remember his name, but its something like Contra. He has this tendency to get Red-carded so easily, and plays for Manchester City. (TROLL 1 -He was talking about Mario
Balotelli)
iPhone dewd: Ahaan!! But yaar I toh only watch Brazil and Argentina matches only! What players Pele and Maradona were! Anyways these days even Sergio is playing great!!!
Sweaty-shirt lad: Sergio? Who? (TROLL number 2 - And I thought he was a ManCity fan!)
iPhone dewd: Arre wohi, lambe baalon wala! Sergio Ramos!!! He plays for Real Madrid! You know he scored 56 goals this season!!!! (TROLL number 3 and this one was EPIC)
I ALMOST DIED!!!!

Very amusing anecdote
Just In...Chelsea have released Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa.
