Football Club -- Part Deux

Everton 1-1 Sunderland. With almost 55 minutes gone it seems the teams will settle for a point each.
Tim Cahill's goal was stupendously done.

Matchday 5 updates from Champions league:

Marseille, Milan reach the round of 16, Arsenal have to wait till the last matchday

I am on course for both my wishes to come true as of now.

Next week Monday we will see the biggest game of Europe so far -
"The El Classico"

Arsenal suffers YET another Europian Razzmatazz by the less known F.C. Braga.

The recent happenings are a proof of the ever-increasing level of competition in the European Football circuit.

We might be witnessing a NEW WORLD ORDER by the end of the season.:clap::clap:

Real Madrid is showing real class this season....finally they have settled down and the stars are performing well. With Mou at the helm, they are the team to beat on the European front.

Real's performance so far has been amazing...something that people expect from a club having rich history and *costly* stars.
But adding to the quoted post, Mou has been the difference I feel. I'm a big fan of Jose and his management style, his attitude and his ability to influence games just by attending a press conference.
Having said that, the ultimate test for real is the "el classico" next monday and a result there would really stamp Mou authority in la liga which will ultimately make him a favorite candidate (still is) for replacing SAF at old trafford, his life long ambition!
our coaching staff is good bt our manager's mentality is strictly of a midtable coach.now we hav damien commolli to manage the transfers and he is good.he was at tottenham a few years back and signed bale, berba etc.he's good at spotting talent and wont hesitate to sign even if the manager has other opinion(only if the player is that talented).
hope John Henry acts quickly and brings a new manager.i am desperate to see a new manager at anfield....som1 who can make us play attractive and attacking football.

Once upon a time there used to be a pair of forwards, who could, and would, demolish any teams' defense all across the Europe. They were Steven Gerrard, and Fernando Torres. A couple of years back, together they had scored goals which were even more than the total number of goals scored by many clubs in the EPL.

But since Xabi was sold off, Gerrard has been doing more of defensive midfielding and moves in the front very less. All the courtsey to that good-for-nothing Aquilani.
Now after letting Macherano leave, he is getting pushed in the defensive front even more.

I hope the team defense gets strong enough to get him back to his duties which he serves the best. I miss seeing him running across the ground pumping his chest, fisting and getting every RED fan all pumped up, which he does after every awesome goal of his.
That was one scene which made me a loyal an ardent follower of LFC. It goes with the line, 'YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE'.

Lack of form of kuyt is also a main reason for liverpools's current form.
Torres has all the responsibility of forward and gerrard lacks support from other midfielders but surely they will finish ahead of Man city at the end of season.
I am Barca fan but my idol CR7 is in Real:banghead:

By the way what is happening to Chelsea....After such a wonderful start now they are dropping points.....2 defeats in a row......They should be cautious of Man utd because they are champions when it comes to seizing the crucial moments of league:clap:

Some relief for us!!!
CHELSEA the ONLY team to win ALL 5 in Champions League!!!
Great Start!!!

Only 4 clubs have achieved this feat........but there is bitter truth related with it that no one from them won that season.....:o
6 wins
Four teams have won all their games in a group stage (none of whom went on to win the title that year - although Milan got closest by finishing runners-up); these are:
Milan, 1992-93
Paris Saint-Germain, 1994-95
Spartak Moscow, 1995-96
Barcelona, 2002-03 (First group stage)

After yesterday's games in the champions league, Spurs, Inter, Lyon, Schalke, Valencia and Barcelona confirm their places in the round of 16

the main problem is with carragher:banghead:.he has lost pace.so we play with a deep lying back line which doesnt allow us to go forward quickly and also both CMs have to drop deep in defence to help backline.its hightime we drop carra and get a new CB(agger is injured and may b he wont play the entire season).we desperately need a ball playing CM(like Xabi).another shocking thing is our fullbacks rarely overlap the wingers....so we actualy attack with 2 wingers,1 forward and 1CM.how on earth WOY expexts torres to score goals with such a support.such a shame:banghead:

Needless controversy involving Ramos and Alonso regarding their red cards towards the end of their champions league match, hearing on the 30th by UEFA

Injury Blues in EPL Clubs:

Blackpool loses its prolific striker, Marlon Harewood for 6 weeks.

Arsenal's star midfielder, Emmanuel Eboue joins the long list of injured Gunners for this season.

Aaron Ramsey is planning a comeback from the last year's broken bone injury with a loaned tenure at Nottingham Forest

It's totally within the rules and UEFA will be wrong if they charge Madrid on this issue. Although, they could have done that more efficiently without causing much controversy.

Anyways, it's time for EL Classico

Nothing should and will happen, maybe some fine, but UEFA will never ever penalise any spanish club heavily.

If it were an English club though, matters could have been worse.

Arsenal beat Aston Villa 4-2, they go top of the league if only for some time, Arshavin, Nasri, Chamakh and Wilshere scored for them

If United draw today, Arsenal stay at the top and if United win, then United goes top
