Football Club -- Part Deux

I couldn't watch the match last night, due to heavy thunderstorms here in Kerala. Had to adjust with my mobile to keep up with the scores and in the end, I ended up watching the full replay 2 times today.

Just went through this thread in r/soccer and saw how all the other fans, even Arsenal and Man Utd felt for Chelsea after Torres netted it last night.

Haven't been much more happier and proud to be a Chelsea fan, after reading that thread.

Bayern, see you in Munich

HALA MADRID!! Teach those Bavarians a footballing lesson today!!!

Maybe a bit late but better late than never :)

What a match last night, it was like a Hollywood thriller with twists and turns ,drama and intrigue ,and finally a team emerging from ashes..

what can u ask more from a game which had great goals, some lovely tricks, a missed penalty ,a red card ,a vindicated man and some injuries as well....had a great night supporting our greatest rival in PL..

About red card, when Terry was shown red card I was Like oh fricks it cant be happening again..again a red card against a team playing against Barca at semifinal stage that is three years running. But in retrospect he deserved it..it was an idiotic, inexplicable and foolish act on his part and Cech knew this thats why he told Terry to get the hell off..

What heroics from Cech, bosingwa,Ramires,Cole, drogba finally the much maligned Torres...

My prediction for today
Real-Bavarians
2 - 1

15' real 2 already..
Ronaldoooo

Robben Scores A Penalty...!!

2-1 at 28 Mins only...

now.. 68 mins up..still 2-1 and Aggregate 3-3
Hoping Bayern Munich to get through tonight...:grin:

So my prediction for full time came true :)
2-1
real-bavaria
now for the extra time..
but fascinating to see German machines at work such stamina man..they must be running even in their sleep..

Man of the Match : Manuel Neuer

i mean, who saves consecutive penalties shot by Ronaldo and Kaka ??!!

Bayern Munich go through deservedly.....

An awesome night of superb attacking football by both teams.....with a heart wrenching ending.....

German machines through to the final to play on their home ground.:)

Real madrid grounded and grilled on their home ground.

As they say that the germans don't lose in the shootout...that saying hold true for most of the times.Neur with two good saves and egregiously bad play by kaka and penalty by ramos.

To be fair, the german machines dominated real over two legs.

First-half looked like we are ready to concede but who can score more goal:biggrin:
later on both playing safe and it was a very open game unlike the yesterday's game when barca were knocked out by chelsea

Chelsea have a chance to win now:biggrin:...with bayern vulnerable at the back but they will be having the huge home crowd support:sneaky:

#bbcfootball*
When in rome do as the romans do
When in spain do as chelsea and bayern do
When in england do as manutd do

This is a bookies delight chelsea bayern final wish i had bet i would be a millionaire

Giant killer champ league this one
Manutd mancity real barca all bite tge dust

Gutted ! Sad to see such an ending to 210+ minutes.

Before a few days who would have thought that we will see neither Real Madrid or Barcelona in the finals. But such is the nature of champions league. Often the best teams dont win it but the teams who show form at the crucial juncture.

Hoping to see Chelsea win their maiden Champions League title because they deserve it.

I can't see Bayern losing it. Having said that, nothing in football is predictable!!

Milan won the 1994 final against Barcelona that had Romario, Hristo Stoichkov 4-0, yes, FOUR NIL!!! And Alessandro Costacurta and Franco Baresi, arguably two of the best defenders to have ever played the game were, you guessed it, suspended!!

Chelsea and Bayern, both haveplauers who're gonna miss the final, but I feel Bayern have enough of an advantage playing at home to clinch the crown!

Hilarious!

John Terry barred from lifting European Cup if Chelsea win final Football The Guardian

Though I think he pretty much deserves it for kneeing.

FACT: Munich has hosted Champions League final on 3 occasions.
ALWAYS THERE HAS BEEN A FIRST TIME WINNER

Chelsea!! Chelsea!! Chelsea!!

Well the curse continues to work No El Classico in the finals . Lesson learnt : U cant just assume things in football . Any team can win on a given team .

Now waiting for 19th May . Bayern ll have home support . But Chelsea should go all out to get this one cuz till now their performance in the CL has been very inspiring . Awesome comebacks in group stages , then against Napoli . They deserve it this time :grin:

P.S : Abrahimovic ll finally get what he wants and RDM can be our permanent manager for few years at least :):)

Hilarious!

let me make it very clear here, I know what Terry did was wrong, needless and stupid.
But I'll also say, sanchez made a meal out of it, as most of his teammates do. It was Terry's first offence if I remember correctly, and that dramatic reaction of sanchez as being shot down from behind will be costing Terry a lifetime opportunity to redeem himself.

Yes it was an off-the-ball incident, but I have seen far worse "on-the-ball" challenges which had resulted in yellow. Rules can be so impractical sometimes.

Bayern Munich Journey so far

R16: Beat Basel (Champions in their Domestic League this season)
QF: Beat Marseille (Struggling in their Domestic League)
SF: Beat Real Madrid (Mostly Champions in their Domestic League)
F: Beat Chelsea ??? (Struggling in their Domestic League)

I see a pattern here...

Bayern truly deserves to be the Champion of Europe...

Just after the game Schweinsteiger said: "During the walk to the penalty area I lost my bollocks, but thank god I found them again".
