yes Real Madrid drew 1-1 at the Madrigal and are now only six points ahead with a Clasico and other tough games left !!
Good chance for Barca to catch them, maybe we can get the treble this year too !! (unless Bayern Munich have to say something about it !! )

But hoping the best for Barca !!

That might or might not benefit the EPL team....

Messi is at his best when he has the Passing Wizards : Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas in the midfield behind him, he may not fit in well in EPL clubs, who as far as my limited knowledge goes, have a more physical running and crossing-into-box style of play....

but saying that Barca are nothing without Messi does not make perfect sense coz that is like saying ManU is nothing w/o Rooney.....
every team has their star players, but they are as much a part of the team as they are individual greats...you cant consider them or their teams as separate entities....they are always one with the team, escpecially messi....
without messi, maybe barca wouldnt score as many goals, but they would surely win matches, even without him....after all they have the best of Spain's talent with them.....Villa, Pedro, Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas and new guys like Cuenca and Tello.....

no doubt epl more physical strenght then hows abt silva he is in a way similar to messi but adapted quickly he considered now of the best attacking midfileder in prem league becoz prem league has raised his game he has also been rewarded with spain national team wat i wanted to say is messi is great if he comes to england he will super suupppper messi till football history nobody would be able toch his achivement

even u must have seen how many points they dropped against lower opposition when messi was not availsble due to injury

no doubt messi is the best player of this generation..... but i think when you have 3 of the top 5 players of the world in your team it helps a lot.... messi has not produced for argentina what he has done for barca ... that's because he has a certain xavi and iniesta to thread him that delightful pass..

also when playing against opposing teams, even man-marking messi is not enough cause the other players can cause equal havoc.... but in case of argentina messi has to drop deeper to get the ball, and take messi out - you take argentina out....

Lolz..Nostalgia..i still remeber the match when Maradona throws all his stikers to knock down germans in WC quarterfinal in final 20 minutes..Aguero,messi,higuain,tevez,pastore all playing together with milito waiting:biggrin:
And for the channge i feel messi play good in setpieces in that match if not for superb double marking by khedeira and bastian...

The problem with messi and argentina is you produce world class attacking line up with no back up whatso ever..an ever so sure Juan veron kind of player would have made much difference to that side..

Regarding messin playing in epl...well how much england and english players have gained by playing there:biggrin:..if one cant win with Beckham Gerrard lampard rooney , ferdinand, walcott and the list continues with tonnes of epl experience...Then exactly where would have these kind of players should go to take england atleast to semis of some big event:)

..German league seems not so glamourous and when germany plays..there football becomes all about move passes attack destroy and back to defend sort of football...Fluid and no 30-40 yard glamourous thunderbolts..happy with uncool headers from klose and mueller and perfect machine like efficiecy like BMW

Although i am a Spain supporter in all international competitions, German football is seriously a cut above the rest....the only ones who can give the mighty Spaniards a run for their money ( along with the Oranje ofc )

Looks like Chelsea isn't the place for Torres.He played only for 10 min. albeit he has looked sharper and fitter like the old one.Also, he was played as a winger despite him being center forward.
That selfish sturridge was played ahead of him

ps: drogba spurned a chance and didn't pass the ball to torres, indeed he took a weak shot which even a 4 year old can take.

as for clubs, Torres wont be playing in the champion's league next year with chelsea....he should consider a move back to La Liga.....

Another football weekend gone....

1. Madrid regain winning ways but a hopeful Barca supporter will keep wishing they lose one odd game before the Camp Nou Clasico...

2. Chelsea nearly out of next year's CL ???

4. Juve unbeaten in the 28 games of the season so far !! :wow: but half of them being draws, they find themselves 4 points adrift of league leaders AC Milan !! Derby D'Italia on tonight !!

thats their 4th coach sacking after Mourinho's departure in 2010, they havent had a coach last longer than six months ever since.....

Anybody else think Mourinho might be to blame for this ?

Mourinho has a ability to bring out the best in the players and has a way of bonding with the players. This might have an adverse effect on the players but i think the failings this season might on hte reliance on players who have gotten old like forlan, milito , a half fit and semi motivated sneider. It might have been a good idea to bring in new players and a new coach. The team needs complete renewing. The scenario is similar to Chelsea aging squad with players filled with the ones from mourinhos time. Time for change in both the clubs

The problem with chelsea is that abrahimovic choses whom he wants to buy... like the torres deal for example, ancelotti didnt say that he wanted him, it's just that roman wanted torres in his chelsea side.... and come to think of it, chelsea might have actually won the league had they not benched drogba and played torres(who was miserable because of a differnet formation @ chelsea)... it was more a case of torres playing ahead of anelka and drogba because he had a huge price tag....

mourinho is more of a manager of the present rather than a fergie or arsene wenger who builds team for the future.... he craves instant success and buys players for that....

hoping for a chelsea win today.... it would be gr8 to see a chelsea-barca semifinal
