Football Club -- Part Deux

Another analysis. For me the top four teams in Europe according to form and who will probably make the Champions League semis (Unless they clash with each other) are :

Real Madrid ( Yay we are back )
Chelsea ( Solid despite missing a few players )

Barca ( Are always dangerous with Messi )

Arsenal ( Showing a lot of spirit and flamboyance )

someone predicted doomsday as well.....

CL Semis is a long story, Inter is doin good job and so is Bayern...So i dun think that these 4 can be the teams in semis...Though some of them can but not all of them....

I should have added a PS with it.

PS : Form is likely to change in course of time and so is the list.

BTW Inter and Bayern are good but not doing good convincingly.See Bayern's bundesliga form. Also everyone knows inter are not playing well as they were under Mourinho.

They look good now but semis are far far away!!

Arsenal and Chelsea have been at the top for years. And I needn't remind anyone that they have each managed 1 Champions League Final so far(which they didn't win :splat:)

And who would have thought last season one of Lyon or Bordo would make it the semis? Or even Bayern and Inter would playing the Final for a treble??

You may go on to be right in the future, but predicting just does not work here :)

PS - I would love it if Real Madrid beat Barca in the Final 😃

That will be the best thing any Real Madrid supporter would like too see

Wonderful performance from Arsenal against ManC .
Another Demolishing performance from Real Madrid.
Decent performances from Barcelona and Chelsea.

Best four clubs on form at the moment , which reiterates my saying that they look good at the moment of making the Champions League Semis.

Looking forward to Manchester derby next up in EPL.

Whether you like or not Torres would be leaving this summer, either Real Madrid or Barcelona or City if they achieve Champions league football will come knocking this summer and he will be off in a flash....

Thats great divination Sir.

And good to learn thats how you decide, liking or disliking!!

PS - If you know anything at all, Torres has been in Atletico Madrid since he was a kid. Real Madrid is kinda Derby side to that club

Also, if Torres wanted money, he had a fine chance leaving for Barca or Chelsea at the start of this season itself :)

He proved it once. People say he gave a chance to the club. If he does it again, people will say he gave a second chance to the club, but now he will leave.
You'll know someday, all that speculation is
BULLSHIT!

4) New Youth Setup: They have already started working n it see the amount f young english lands tht are getting chances ( Shelvey, Spearing , kelly, Darby etc)
Loads f academy players are part f U-19 & U -18

And to add to it, we have Pep Segura, the former technical director at La Massia. Rafa brought him in, and since then the club's youth system is being modelled upon Barca's. Needless to say Barca alongwith Ajax have the best of youth systems :)

PS - along with the names you mentioned... also, Suso and Pacheco are a great find!

Rivalry heats up at the top of the spanish league goal scoring charts, Ronaldo leading followed by Messi, surely this season promises to be fun

did anyone got nani's goal vs totenham

did anyone got nani's goal vs totenham

Well that wasn't a goal in the first place.. just a clumsy piece of refereeing..!! nani had clearly handled the ball and it was a free kick which gomes like usually keepers do, had placed a little further form the point of foul.. nani meanwhile got up.. and looked at the refree who was maybe caught thinkin bout his ex- wateva..and confused as he was, the ref allowed the play to go on.. the linesman meanwhile thinking that the ball was interrupted by nani before the free kick could be taken was flagging furiously, he was then told by the referee that no free kick had been awarded in the first place..and so the furore stands!!
According to Redkanpp though, Clattenburg has admitted his mistake..!!

P.S- Absolutely loved hearing Paul Masefield take Clattenburg apart in the ESPN after show.. This is not the first controversy involving Clattenburg bdw.. he has his share of interesting refereeing decisions...!! :splat:

Referee can't be the only person to be blamed for that Gomes must get his share of fault as well... He shdn't have kept the ball there and since there was no whistle...

Though I agree that the goal wasn't of a good taste but then who cares for that nowadays (I beleieve ppl saw Torres's goal against Sunderland) so this one was still acceptable in comparison to that..

Moreover this goal wasn't a game changes anyhow so there is not much fuss bout it, else this wd have been blown out of proportion too...

To add to that I think it was a penalty as well which Lil 'Arry conveniently forgot....anyways Great week in champiions league ...copenhagen play awesomely well against barca ...rafa shows that he is rafa by taking a champions league winning side and has started screwing it up:splat::splat::splat:

Why moratti why??? My fav italian team :|

Not taking anything away from rafas achievements I am not a very big fan of rafa ..he is a great tactician but his ability of not getting along with players more often then not overshadows his other positives as a manager. The fact remains that both etoo and milito have come out and said they have had differences with him . Look at the robbie keane case. A footballing team no matter how great will not perform unless it is motivated. That was jose's speciality there is no chance in hell that inter last year would lose to Tottenham and they have pretty much the same squad as last year. :splat: anyways its my opinion and everybody has the right to differ
CHELSEA and my german favourites "Bayern" made 4/4 in Champions League yesterday!!!
Good match between Milan-Madrid, could have been gone in Milan's way!!!
Gunners lost!!! :|
Marseille strikes 7 goals to get 7-0 away win!!!
Roma managed away win thanks to the penalty from Totti!! :drinking:
Barca drawn 1-1!!
United wins 3-0!!
Defending champios lost at White Hart Lane 1-3!!

Owen hargreaves is back!!!! though m not a United or England fan but still its pretty good to see the guy back in action.. The United midfield will get some much needed structuring and fans will be over the moon if he manages to put in a good shift today..!!
Cheers..!!

EDIT : oops.. i barely finished writing my post.. he lasted only six mins.. sad!!

Record-signing Gyan paid off a sizeable instalment of his 13m-plus fee with a match-winning double for Sunderland against 10-man Stoke.
He scored both the goals of the match, as Sunderland waved off the nightmare of their previous match against Newcastle, which they lost 1-5.

It is again evident that the World Cup stars are the ones who steer their respective clubs positions this season. Be it a certain Gyan, a Forlan, or a Bale, the clubs are banking heavily on them.

One of the big upsets of the season, was the 4-2 drubbing of Tottenham Hotspurs by Bolton Wanderers.
The home side raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to two goals from Kevin Davies and one from Gretar Steinsson.
But Spurs, conquerors of Inter Milan in the Champions League in midweek, hit back with Alan Hutton and substitute Roman Pavlyuchenko scoring in the last 11 minutes only for Martin Petrov to step off the bench and seal Bolton's victory in stoppage time.
I was hoping to see Peter Crouch in action, along with Gareth Bale, but disappointments:splat::shocked:

The brief scores for today's matches in the Barclays Premier League were as follows:-
Bolton Wanderers 4-2 Tottenham Hotspurs
Manchester Utd 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Birmingham City 2-2 West Ham United
Blackpool 2-2 Everton
Sunderland 2-0 Stoke City
Blackburn Rovers 2-1 Wigan Athletic
Fulham 1-1 Aston Villa

Well to be honest it was nothin but disappointment...

Though United managed 3 points but they weren't convincin et all...I dun know when we would have a full strength squad for a change....

3 exciting fixtures today:

Most imp being the one the anfield...Though I really want Reds to won but my money is on blues....

Any predictions???
