Just wanted to know between FPM and CFA Level 1 which is easier to achieve.
Also which will be cheaper application.
This may seem to be a silly query but wanted to know to build profile.
While ordering for schweser notes from OM shop ,Mumbai , do we have to order study notes , Question bank , and quick sheets separately or are they part of one single book ??
You have to order for Schweser notes as a single package. He should send you the study notes (hard copy), QB (soft copy) and Quick sheets (hard copy).
If quick sheets are not recd, you can search the net - they are easily available.
In addition, you may want to get FRM handbook - either buy the original (costly), get it from one of the providers or get a copy from net and print it.

Key findings:
- The Risk Index reversed course in Q4, declining more than 6 points as US systemic risk fears waned sharply; at 110.41 the Risk Index is now equal to the level reached in Q2.
- Optimism that European leaders have made progress on a unified approach to resolve the debt crisis helped allay fears that a repeat of the 2008 financial crisis is imminent. An uptick in market confidence triggered a steady decline in market volatility and a strong rally in global equity markets throughout Q4.
- Hints of economic recovery in the US, combined with relief that odds of a global double-dip recession may now be lower, triggered a sharp decline in risk perceptions associated with several key US macro-economic indicators.
- Despite signs of optimism, global risk professionals remain wary of Eurozone instability, US monetary and fiscal policy initiatives, and geopolitical risk when looking ahead to factors that will influence US systemic risk in 2012.

We will be filling up Q1 survey soon and I will upload that once it is available.
For those already into preparation... here is a teaser question on Geometric Brownian Motion.
Try to give it an honest effort.
A bank's cash position follows a generalized Wiener process with a drift of +$1 million dollar per month and variance of $3 million per month. If the bank wants to be 99.0% confident that its cash position at the end of one year will be non-negative (i.e., at least zero), what is the bank's required cash position at the beginning of the year?
a. zero
b. $1.98 million
c. $6.32 million
d. $13.96 million
Hello
Has anyone who has purchased Schweser FRM level 2, 2012 from any of the xerox shops in Mumbai received the Qbank? I am being told that Schwser hasn't provided the Qbank yet. I find this hard to believe as the shop owners
aren't so concerned as long as they recover their costs from selling copies to its customers nor are they going to make any effort to find out when Schwser would provide the Qbank assuming the xerox owner is telling us the truth.
THanks

-drift*t +vol*sqrt(t)*deviate
= -12M + 1.732M*3.464*2.33 = 1.979 M

I haven't studied a lot (now realizing it) so your tips will be helpful for me.
Also anybody having softcopy of 2012 schweser L2 notes?

Hi Leo..
Thanks for the question.
However where did you get it from? ( I was wondering about Weiner Process!!)
I have QB from Laxmi Xerox + some questions at the end of each books.
Can you recommend whether that will be enough?
Or if I nee to go for some QB , can you recommend one? Finsructor / Prisitine?
So far I have almost covered the chapters ( 7-8 chapters are left). But havent solved any problems..:(
Would start solving problems + revision + question solving - please let me know what is the best way to go..
If you feel , please PM me.
Thanks for the reply Rakesh. Are you from Mumbai? If so, did Laxmi xerox give you any idea of when it will be available? It is hard following up with these jerks on the phone as they are pretty blunt in their replies. Frankly, they are not concerned.
