hi gaurav i also plan to write the FRM L1 during May 2012. i am thinking of buy scheswer notes, core reading, Jurian handbook and bionic videos for the preparation.. i am from pune.. all those who want to appear for this exam should plan to get in touch to prepare better..

Hey, I am appearing for FRM Level 1 on 19 Nov. Please somebody guide me how much break i will get during 4 hr of exams ?

What break are you talking about? It is a 4-hour exam, starting at 8.00 and ending at 12.00!
Your exam day schedule is:

FRM Part I and ERP AM Session
7:00am Candidates may start to check in
7:45am Doors promptly close. No late candidates are allowed to enter.
7:46am When doors close, the exam is distributed, and instructions are read
8:00am Exam begins
11:30am 30 minutes remaining announcement
11:55am 5 minutes remaining announcement
12:00pm Exam ends, materials are collected, and candidates are released

You will have to answer 100 questions in this time - most find this time just (barely) enough even without the break.

What is the lowest percentile at which people have passed....
or to simply put it can a person with quartiles as following, pass in the examination?

1) 2, 2, 2, 2.
2) 1, 2, 3, 4
3) 1, 2, 2, 3

from the posts i have seen on the thread i think better scores then mentioned above can easily pass... just was curious so asked if a candidate with either of them can pass or not?

guys, please share personal information through PM only.
regarding material other than scheswer note, one can refer to core reading provided by GARP and Jorian 6th edition. if ur purpose is to pass exam scheswer may suffice but it depend lots on ur comfort with maths.

2. Core Readings( available in/from ???????)
3. Philip Jorian Book ( available in/from ??????)
