This Mansoor guy from Laxmi Copy is an a**hole. He demamded money from me for useless print. The copy was really bad and there were lines all over. He talks bad and refuses to replace the notes.

Feedback on Laxmi Printer - A Bad experience
I had ordered Schweser Notes and Handbook from Laxmi Printers. He sent it but the quality of the photocopy was very poor - either there were blotches on the graphs or the print was too light to read. On complaining to Mansoor at Laxmi Printers, he offered to exchange it once I send the bad material to him. He offered to refund the courier cost that I would incur in sending the material back to him. However, once I sent the material back to him at a personal cost of Rs 350, he stopped responding and refused to send the material. I called him numerous times and emailed to them - but no response. It ultimately wasted a lot of my time trying to talk to him again and again.
My experience - Very Poor quality of photocopy - Cheating attitute of the people involved.
Please be very beware of dealing with low quality, cheating people like Laxmi Printers.
There are other very good options available.
Hope this warns others and they are not cheated and harassed like me!
I am preparing for FRM Level 1 for Nov this year. I saw that Bionic Turtle posts from free questions on their website. The questions are very good and there are plenty of them but the catch is that to view the answers, one has to go for a paid registration. There is not much point in attempting the question unless you atleast get to verify your answers.
So I am writing here to ask if some of the members here are interested to solve the questions together and then verify each others answers? This way we can all be more confident about our answers
Please let me know your thoughts...

@DP2179 Thanks. Re. your query, I may not be able to provide a justifiable opinion as I never took any tuition for the courses I took though I too was working. Actually, it depends on individual's preference, needs and learning style. I found the GARP and Schewser material, specially the later, sufficient to prepare for the exam, focussing on as many tests (mock/sample/practice ) as I could take after finishing the readings & material once. But I did go for the Pristine's test series (they gave two mocks and some Q. Bank & tests prior to exam) as Schewser's seemed to be too easy, and found them extremely useful and almost on the lines of the FRM exams. On that basis I feel Prsitine's is really good. Now Bionics are collaborating with them for some courses delivery in India. However, someone who has actually taken their course may be the right person to advise you.

hi rohit..i have the the free videos of bionic on youtube..bt they are not available fr all readings..besides they r only on important concepts and all are some 10 minute videos..this prof iyer has made his like bionic see this link in my previous post..his class is like bionic and cheaper..seems there is a buy videos alone package too..m considering it.
Hi Guys this is what i gathered aftr talkin to 5-6 frm holdrs who took d exam recently- sharing it fr d benefit of all: 1) schweser notes may be enuf 4 passing but relying on them is nt gud (n probly risky) bcuz they r too easy n u may think u re well prepared, when u may not be. most candidates study only schweser bcuz dey get notes easily frm laxmi xerox n others bt its nt d best option. 2) schweser q bank is also not to the level of toughness of the qns in d exam 3) studying frm core readings and d frm handbook is MUST!!- surprisingly each one said that! handbook bcuz it has real exam qns so u get prepared fr the type of qns. 4) Attending classes may be wrthwhile bt choose d class well- make sure the classes prepare u well- its imp dat u do qns of high difficulty. most classes (xcept, perhaps one or two) dont match up to dat difficulty level. At d end of d day its- qns qns qns!- d more u do high quality qns, d bettr ur chances.
I am appearing for FRM L1 this november; I gave few mock tests and getting average of 55-60 marks; Just wanted to know what should be the enough score to get through FRM L1. Please let me know if you have any idea.

@niks You won't get the admit card but get an email stating how to download your admit card. In case you have not got it yet (it was sent on 27th to all) just go to GARP site ( http://www.garp.org/frm) and login; Click on "exam logistics" on the top bar and the resulting page has the link for downloading your admit card for FRM 1/2. Best of luck.
else we could form a group and buy 3 mock test and question bank from frm instructor site(or any other ) for around 3k.... if any is interested thn let me know ...

Hi Guys, Let's start discussion for FRM Level 1 May-2012 exam. I would like to appear for this exam. I need some advice on where to start my preparation for this exam. Should i first go through "OFOD by Hull" or look for Schweiser Notes straigth away ? Any reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
