i need ur suggestions......
i have already done my MBA(finance- ICFAI hyd) in 2008 only and also have cleared CCFA level of ICFAI.......i have just been placed with BPCL as an Management trainee(Accounts Execuitve).... and my major role will be corporate finance..... risk management etc:laugh:
my age is 23 yrs right now....... i want to have a good career in finance..... so i was thinking of FRM/CFP/CFA(U.S)........ colud you all please segest me ....should i persue any of these degrees........ i do not have relavent experience.......
i strongly want to have a international accrediation under my belt...... can u all tell me how can i carry forward in my career.......will any of these degrees will be benefical to me or not.......i want to have a look at the material...of FRM and want to study from it.....
and when i vl have done enough frm that i vl enroll next year.....and till then will have.... enough experience....is that right on my part
will be thankful for ur reply/.....

Hi,
I had a look at the contents of this book in amazon.com
This book contains topics (except for Probability and Probability Theory) thats not tested in the FRM exam.
Preparing from this book will be a waste of time. Ignore this book and focus on the Core Material Readings thats suggested by GARP

Since U have aleady been placed with BPCL in Corporate Finance, CFA US will help you here.
If you want to pursue your Career in Corp Fin then doing CFA will be better. FRM Cert will not play a major role in your firm, Not much areas of Risk will be tested here. FRM would be better if you were working in some Financial Firms like Banks or Financial Institutions.
CFP(Chartered Financial Planner) is useful only if you want to make a career as a Financial Advisor or Financial Consultant for some Mutual Funds or Insurance Cos. Their main role is to Analyse the Income and Savings Pattern of their clients and advise them on various Insurance/Mutual Funds/Savings schemes that will help them to Invest wisely/Save Tax/ make more savings ensuring a bright future.
imho I feel that CFA is much better recognised than any of the other programs in India. Since you have already done ur MBA it would be wiser to go for CFA
These are all my personal views, you are required to pick ur choice wisely

CALCULATOR ISSUES!!
I asked the Matunga Store(Rank Enterprises) wala regarding the TI BA-II Pro calcy.. He said it'd be for Rs. 2800... and that he'd even deliver to your residence....
I read previously either here or on one of the orkut community forums that he had been selling the same for Rs. 2500....
On asking the fellow abt the same.. he started going all abt the depreciation of the Rupee and crap that he has been having to pay a lot of import duty and all....
Has anybody recently purchased the TI BA-II Pro calcy cheaper than Rs. 2800???
And, is it available at any other store apart from this Matunga fellow's??
