Mate...you will do yourself a lot of good if you can have patience and go through this entire thread...right from post 1...believe me i did that...and there is enuf clarity now...
btw a certain Laxmi Zerox centre at Vile parle is where you can get the notes...they have gone an extra mile this time to get the material in totality...you will also find a rep of the centre somewhere in the thread...and the soft copy of 3rd ed is available on esnips.com to give you an overview till u actually lay your hands on the 4th one which is what we need for FRM08....
Recently I met the Laxmi Xerox Guy.He said the scheswer(Kaplan) notes will be available only on Mid June.Right now he can provide 1)Damodar Gujarati- Essentials of Econometrics(Rs 500) 2)FRM Handbook with cd (Rs 700) 3)Complete Core Readings(Rs 1600)

Puys I have finally managed to convince my company to reimburse my FRM exam fee! Now very keen to go for it.
I have been through the posts above and at present being in Sydney, I am very far from the useful resources availabe at LAXMI Xerox :(
I am very willing to join any group to share the cost of preparation material. It may be either through sharing of login for an online tutorial or through sharing of pdf documents based material via email/rapidshare etc.
Please let me know if few of you puys, based anywhere have built any such study group that I may also join.... If login is a constraint and only one person can hold it, I don't mind recieving only the pdf documents for this year's preparation.
Most tutorials give downloadable Study guides and am targeting to share these with others.....

aha!! it feels great to be back at Pagalguy after such a long sabbatical.. anyways , i will cut the crap and get down to business straightway .. i am doing my MBA from NMIMS, so practically the closest to Laxmi Xerox(NMIMS is only next to the shop in Ville Parle), I had spoken to the guys out there in Laxmi and there some bad news in store.. The FRM materials will only be available by the end of June(i.e the Schwesser and whatever materials where expected) so all those who had been thinking of starting early will now have to wait for atleast a month now...:(.. will keep u puys updated with everybit of information that comes out of Laxmi.. 😃

I asked the Matunga Store(Rank Enterprises) wala regarding the TI BA-II Pro calcy.. He said it'd be for Rs. 2800... and that he'd even deliver to your residence.... I read previously either here or on one of the orkut community forums that he had been selling the same for Rs. 2500.... On asking the fellow abt the same.. he started going all abt the depreciation of the Rupee and crap that he has been having to pay a lot of import duty and all.... Has anybody recently purchased the TI BA-II Pro calcy cheaper than Rs. 2800???
And, is it available at any other store apart from this Matunga fellow's??
Another thing...... Has anybody been to crawford market to enquire about this calculator?? Plzz let me know if anyone has already... cuz I'd visit crawford market on MONDAY and check about the calculator....

What will be sufficient to pass out i.e. Schwesers material, Financial Risk Manager Hand book (4th Edition) or FRM core reading material. i want to go very specific, as wont get enough time for many references.
What is the contact detail of Laxmi Xerox. I am having detail of OM Copy centre, is it also authentic.

Puys a query regaring Bionic Turtle. Any idea How big (MBs) will be the downloadable video files approx? Will they be available for download only ones as with the pdfs?
Hi, I'm from Delhi, and am preparing for FRM 2008 (or so I'd like to believe :sleepy:)
Am not joining any extra classes for this..just relying on the core readings and handbook...itna bhi kar paya to bahut hoga, given the dedication and time at hand
And about the material, as was mentioned elsewhere in this thread, there's a shop in Ber Sarai (Bharat Book Depot) who sells this stuff...but at a mighty premium to Mumbai's Laxmi Book Depot
